Me thinks the Yanks and Jays might engage in fisticuffs tonight.

quote:

The #BlueJays spoke with the league this morning about last night's game. At this point, Toronto seems to be taking issue with where New York's bases coaches were positioned, which contradicts Judge's answer post-game.

quote:

John Schnedier on whether there was concern about the positioning of the Yankees' base coaches: "I think that there’s boxes on the field for a reason. I think when it’s a glaring 30 feet where you’re not in that spot, you kind of put two and two together a little bit.”

quote:

Aaron Judge said that he has some “choice words about” about the Blue Jays broadcasters insinuating that he was cheating. He declined to share them. “I’m not happy about it, but people can say what they want. I’ve still got a game to play. I’ve got things to do.”

quote:

Schneider said he's "not in the business of buying post-game media" when asked if he bought Judge's comments: "I know that he means nothing but business and wants to win. I just found it a little funny he was worrying about his dugout when he was in the batter’s box

I don't think they were doing anything against the rules per se, but batters don't usually look somewhere other than the pitcher once they are in the box and ready. It just doesn't happen ever. It was odd, fishy and certainly worth watching, especially since the Yankees are supposed to be white knights when it comes to squeaky clean living.

Even if the Toronto pitcher was tipping his pitches and the Yankees picked it up, that is a BlueJay problem. Do better. Just don't do it "electronically." Know what I mean?

I think it's interesting that the Bluejay pitcher throwing got sent down to the minors today. Doesn't sound like Toronto felt he was simply a victim of circumstances. Sounds like that 4th slider in a row that just hung there to the best home run hitter in baseball was a bigger problem that they led on.

Judge is right to be upset. When he homers tonight, I hope he does a bat flip. It will be well deserved. People need to stop accusing Judge of cheating.

I've never given a shite about sign stealing. If you're not doing it and can, you're a dumbass.

That doesn't sound too bad.

Certainly not as egregious as the Astros antics.

Judge might wear one tonight. Better hope that big mfer doesn't charge the mound though.

Like Judge has said, more homeruns are thrown than hit. That last pitch was an 85 MPH FB, that was supposed to be a slider. HS pitchers can throw better than that. Judge doesn't need to cheat; if someone is on point with their pitching, great, but some aren't, and he's going to make them pay. Starter was on-point and he goes 0-3; reliever isn't, and he gets an easy one to hit. Judge is GOAT against mistakes.

No he is not. You really have a hard on for this guy. Something is really wrong with you. And I like judge, he is good for the game. But he is not what you claim him to be.

So he has seen three "good pitches" in this series. A 94 MPH FB right over the middle, an 83 MPH Slider that did not break, and an 85 MPH slider that did not break, and hit all three of them out. Now, Gausman did throw a couple of FB's in there, but they were at 96, and his other stuff was working. He the Barry Bonds of this age. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but it's the truth. What if he homers again in the ninth? Another clutch play by the best in the league.

For this series, he is 3-6 with three HR's, and 6-9 OB - that's a 2.667 OPS for this series. He GETS cheated often.

And with all that still punching out at a 30% clip and hitting .211 for his career in the post punching out at a 33% clip absolute definition of a stat padder
