Men’s game won’t get close this number.

They also stuck the men’s game on cable channels while the women’s game was on ABC

Clark is a draw, now that she is going to the WNBA they will need ESPN to keep promoting her and putting those games on TV

What was common between Iowa vs LSU, Iowa vs UConn and Iowa vs USC?

No they arent. Not with Paige, Juju, Hannah Hidalgo, Williams at LSU, Fulwiley, Madison Booker. All explosive in their own right, most were freshmen

It's growing, but it remains to be seen whether this is temporary or long-term growth.

As a comparison, men's tennis was huge in the US when McEnroe, Borg, Connors, Agassi, Sampras etc. were around because of the different, dynamic personalities/relationships between the players.

However, once those players retired, tennis largely fell back down to earth in terms of popularity.

Let's see what happens with WCBB.

Yep.

Cheryl Miller drew huge TV audiences because much like Caitlin Clark she was extraordinary, but the ratings weren't sustained. LSU fans that thought that this was about LSU were wrong. College basketball will need to produce another incredible shooter like CC to keep people entertained.

"The viewership surpassed the 11.84 million who watched the 1983 NCAA championship game between Southern California and Louisiana Tech. LSU coach Kim Mulkey played for Louisiana Tech and was matched up against USC great Cheryl Miller in that game, which the Trojans won 64-58."

I feel the biggest parts of Clark’s draw was that she was a ball dominant player with insane range that had a coach let her do what she wanted.

But to me the biggest draw was the underdog storyline. One great player making the other role players better slaying Goliath after Goliath. Very Larry bird like.

Weird. Some LSU fans swore that it was Clark and Angel that drew.

I mean that Angel vs Clark drama threw all sorts of fuel on the Caitlin Clark fire heading into this season.

I have seen the men's and women's Final Four and Championship viewer numbers and the average viewers per game for the entire men's tournament, but can't find the average viewers per game for the entire women's tournament.

Has that information been released anywhere or is it too damaging to the narrative that the women can outdraw the men?

They outdrew the men for the final. That's great and the women's game is growing. It's the headlines like the Wall Street Journal's that is the "narrative".

NCAA Women Beat Men in Finals’ Ratings for First Time—but Got 99% Less TV Money

Money for the tournament is based upon more than just the Final Four and Championship games and it is why the Men's Tournament gets higher payouts. It's not inequity.

I watched the ladies title game for one reason, Caitlin Clark. If she wasn't playing, I'm not watching.
