My guess is that if he is ultimately convicted of a felony, CBS may be able to get out of the deal. If Romo pleads it down to a misdemeanor, then they may have to do some sort of settlement to get rid of him where Romo trades money for a lower non-compete time frame.

I doubt you see anything from CBs till the case is resolved.

I can’t remember if it was the first or second Bama vs Clemson national championship game but I watched the coaches simulcast on ESPN and Mike Gundy was one of the 6 coaches at the table. He was predicting every single play before the snap correctly. It was incredible.

I know it would be impossible, but that's why I feel like QB's who go into broadcasting should be there for about 5 years and the rotate out to an analyst show or at least a lesser tier NFL game.

The first 5 years you still know how these offenses are working. Hearing Romo the first two years was like being in the huddle and he could pick apart what the defense was showing and many times call what the play was going to be.

But after 5 years, at that point offenses are evolving and you're far enough removed from the game that you are no longer an expert that should be calling the biggest games. Like as much as I love Brees, he at this point would no longer be an expert on current offenses.

The game changes so quick now, the days of having a color guy who can be in the booth for 10 - 20 years should be over.

If I type in "tell me the best TEs of all time and where does Olsen stack up" and it tells me hes a top 15 TE and then tells me stats that mark him as the best, I don't think it's unreasonable that on a message board that isn't really that important, that I can copy and paste

This isn't a work report where I need to verify the veracity of information. It's not that serious so I took the faster route.

Scary how much you trust something you admit is wrong all the time. It also took me 2 seconds to find that same information the old fashion way. You’re giving blind faith for next to zero tangible improvement to your life


I know the stakes are low here, there’s a bigger picture to be seen.
