As usual when the answer has already been given you ignore it. You’re a hypocrite and an idiot.

What do you think that could be?

I’m gonna go with the fact that she broke the NCAA career scoring record in college and that most of her play has translated to the W.

And look, that hype can be overzealous or misplaced for sure. You can throw in your caveats about a COVID year, 3PT line, women’s competition, whatever. It’s still enough to understand why regular viewers might get hyped up over her.

You’ve now deflected with, “everybody who disagrees with me is racist” and “why are you mad?”. You’re signaling you’ve run out of road and your arguments have failed. Someone who argues against a player who’s increased viewership by 225%, increased their draft viewership by 374%, increased their All-Star game viewership by 305% and we’ve all seen the flow when she’s been out this season. Your explanation for that spike is “everyone is racist” just proves you’re a certified retard.

O.K. I'm going to go with she's white and (presumably) straight. Both can be true.

Here it is, folks, stupidity and bigotry in one little warped package.

Nope, just pointing out that if she were black, you nor 90% of this board would have ever heard of her.
How do you figure that?

He believes the entire board is racist, sexist, and homophobic. Except him, of course, he's the WNBA's white knight for black lesbian basketball players. So stunning and brave.

There it is! The root of you threads about the same thing. If your life is driven by race you are a low vibration thinker. Go touch some grass.

Is it because she's 54th in the league in FG%, or because last year she set the league's ALL-TIME single season record for turnovers? Or because she's 1-23 on 3-pointers in her last three games?

Can I ask you a question? Do you think Shaq is a better shooter than Steph Curry? The reason I ask is because if you just look at FG%, a metric you have pointed out multiple times in this thread alone, you would see that Shaq actually has a better FG% than Steph does throughout his career (Shaq 58.2% vs Steph 44.8%). Also, if you look at Turnovers, Lebron would be the worst basketball player of all-time as he holds the record for most turnovers all-time. If you just look at this past year, here are the top 5 players for turnovers: SGA (League MVP), Giannis, Jokic, ANT and Tatum. Are those players average? Or perhaps, is it due to those players having a very high usage rate? In fact, if you look at usage rates in the NBA last year, 4 of the 5 top turnover players were also top 5 in usage rates. The only player not in the top 5 was Jokic at #11. Similarly, if you look at usage rates in the WNBA for last year, you would see that Caitlin Clark was #8. Yes she turned the ball over a lot, and typically turns the ball over more than most players. If you happened to actually watch the games she played in, you would see that some, not all, of her turnovers are due to her trying to make a tough pass or thread the needle. She plays the game very similar to how Brett Favre played QB in the NFL. She goes for tough passes that don't always work. This doesn't mean she is an average player. She has been injured for most of this year and that may be playing a role in why she is shooting so poorly. All of this to say that many people watch her because she is exciting to watch. She reminds people of Steph Curry, who also plays a very exciting game. She shoots from spots on the court that we just haven't see women historically shoot from and she is making those shots. Like Steph in the NBA, it is something we really haven't seen before in the WNBA. She plays a different style of basketball than we have been accustomed to seeing in the WNBA and people are excited to watch her play. She also gained a lot of attention in college when she played this same style of basketball. You can want to believe that it is solely based on her race and sexual orientation but I don't think most people care at all about her sexual orientation or race but the fact that she is a good basketball player and exciting to watch.
