they were #25 in the AP poll going into week four in 1994. by far the longest streak among p5 schools. how is this possible? how can a p5 program literally never be thought to be one of the 25 best teams in the country at any point in time for essentially 25 years?

Those Indiana teams had some of the crappiest uniforms. I remember they just gave up on the helmet decal.

Yet they beat an SECE Champion on the road and blew a 25 point 4th qtr lead in that time.

Thanks for your concern.

The Cam uniforms were not bad. They copied the Niners but tried to use black as major color.

I mean they looked like South Carolina under Holts his last year.

If Hoepner doesn’t pass away I’m sure they would’ve been ranked he was the guy. His death just made the program go in shambles.
Wilson had it coming back but his stupid arse would never recruit Defense.

That's what a series of terrible coaching hires does for you

What about Purdue going I think 13 years without winning season? It was from Everet’s Senior year until Tiller’s first year.

Indiana has at least gone to bowls and had winning records in 12 year spans. I think they went 8 years as longest stretch.

Indiana hasn't won their Conference since 1967.

That's how it happens. Pollsters don't even pay attention to them. They could be 7-0 and not ranked that's how much voters pay attention to Indiana.

in the age of computers and analytics that shouldn't be a factor anymore
