Babe Ruh hit more home runs than 20+ teams the year he hit 60
even more impressive when you consider that the mlb only had 16 teams back then

Jordan won 6 championships, 6x Finals MVP, 5 time league MVP. 10 Scoring champ, 2 time steals leaders. 9x NBA all defense team.
That being said they are both indisputably the best at their sport.

Hockey, easily. Wayne is so far ahead of everyone else in so many categories, and he holds so many all-time records that it's pretty much inconcievable that we'll ever ever ever see another hockey player do the same things that he did.
FWIW, I'm not one of them, but there are still people who consider Bobby Orr the GOAT.

Uhhh it could mean another ring.
Gretky only has 4 I believe.
Jordan has nowhere near the most rings in his sport, so I wouldn't be picking at the difference of two rings in deciding who is the better GoaT

No one outside of Boston thinks this. Best blueliner? OK, we'll talk. Gretzky owns the record book.

Babe Ruth for baseball, Jordan for basketball, and maybe Federer for men's tennis. Gretzky's had the best career but a lot of people believe that Bobby Orr was the better player at his best.

Gretzky, Jordan, and Ruth.
NFL isn't so clear.
ETA: Kelly Slater, Tony Hawk, and Lance Armstrong.

Ruth is the best all-around baseball player in history, hands down.
Jordan was the best two way basketball player in history as well and took Phil Jackson from a no-name CBA coach to being the best coach of the last 20 odd years.
I personally believe that Gretzky is the GOAT in hockey as well and if it wasn't for him 95% of the American public wouldn't give half a shite about hockey in general.
Football is a little trickier since it's the ultimate team sport and for the last 40+ years players have only played one side of the ball. But since quarterback is the most important position on the field, you have to go with the best quarterbacks of all-time and that discussion really is down to 4 men: Montana, Marino, Elway, and Manning. There really is no wrong answer from the group.

NFL has the weakest slate of GOAT candidates of any sport I know of. There really is no consensus. I've heard arguments for Jim Brown, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas, John Elway, and Peyton Manning just to name a few. In every other sport, there's always one, two, or three players who tower above the rest. That's definitely not the case for the NFL.

Jordan shouldn't be in the discussion of clearest GOAT.
