and it's only comparable because steph doesn't have LeBron usg%

How anyone could take Curry over Lebron amazes me.
Lebron does more.
Lebron does more.

I think DRtg and defensive win shares used together paint a decent picture
quote:LeBron's average is 4.5, without ever allocating an win shares to a 73 win season.
it kinda does. Just looking at them, he probably averages what? Between 4.8 and 5.2?
quote:Like when LeBron averaged 35.3/9.1/7.3 in the playoffs in 2008-2009 with a PER of 37.4?
and I would personally take stephs offensive production right now over LeBron when he was in his final three years in Cleveland

Holy shite, this thread got really fricking annoying.
Y'all aren't even arguing the same thing anymore. Pride/ohio/etc. are arguing that Lebron is better than Curry on D, and WestCoast isn't even arguing against that. He's simply saying that Curry's best gets close to Lebron's average, which makes Curry an above-average defender.
So he would take Curry's offensive game plus his "above average defense" over Lebron at his peak. That's his preference. Pride/ohio/etc. would take Lebron. Cool. We all know that now. Can y'all please stop stroking each others' dicks about it and move the frick on?

LeBrons peak was his final 3 years in Cleveland.

You can't debate Lebron haters.
I've never seen a superstar more underappreciated. IMO Lebron is easily top 5 ever, id personally put him 2nd. He makes everyone around him better, any team he plays for no matter if it's a team of scrubs, will become a winner. Curry is phenomenal, but he's not Lebron; he doesn't do as much.

Just grab some :kern: and get comfortable

I mean LeBron's my favorite player, and I can easily find facts to support why he's better BUT I can't find facts support why he's better than MJ.

It's not. At all. You're just too fricking stupid to realize it apparently.
He's saying that Curry's peak is an "above-average defender." Couple that with his offensive production, and that's who he would choose. So he values Curry's offensive ability + solid defense over Lebron's peak offenseive/defenseive stuff.
You disagree and would take Lebron.
That's it. The end. It's a difference of opinion. Hell, I would likely take Lebron, but can easily see an argument for Curry. But I have the benefit of not being blindsided by fanboy fever for either player really. Unlike you (and even WestCoast, to be honest). It's just hilarious that y'all are not even arguing the same points anymore, which is why it's getting nowhere. And each of you is picking and choosing which analytics to use to make your point, which is a problem with getting too overly analytical with the stats...because there is always something you can point to that backs up your point if you dig deep enough.

Lebron is an elite defender and Curry might as well be subbed out each trip down the floor

It's not that different from you showing up on this board when LeBron loses a playoff game.
