a well-placed insider revealed that discussions between the Eagles’ players and the front office reached a conclusion that it would be a “massive no” to accept the White House visit invitation.

That's fine, it's their decision.

“We won’t forget what happened and the criticism we received for taking a stand against racism, and we won’t back down from our values of respect, integrity, and equality.

But just making stuff up as a reason not to go, got it.

Trump was going for the Chiefs. Publicly said it. He doesn’t deserve the visit.

Weird take. “Deserve” usually doesn’t have anything to do with the Super Bowl winner going to the White House…if invited.

Also you’re sensitive if this offends you about a team.

Agree there, though. I’m personally glad Trump is President and not Harris, and I like most of what he’s initiated so far, but hardcore MAGA base has become just as easily offended snowflakes as the blue haired idiots crying on college campuses.

Good for them. History will not look back kindly on this farce of an administration.

What’s your take on the previous administration?

Farcical as well. Literally nothing got done. Establishment Democrats are dinosaurs who think pandering to minorities and villainizing the majority will win them elections. They’re a different kind of farce than the GOP, but farcical all the same.

Honestly, I don't give a frick if a sports team visits the white house. These publicity stunts should be a thing of the past. As a taxpayer, we shouldn't waste any money, no matter how little, on celebrating sports teams in the fricking white house.

they don't have a fricking clue as to why they lost, they only see that Trump=bad so how did this happen?!?

It seems like they are doubling down on the stuff that the middle 80% of the country doesn't like.

Its always a balancing act keeping the 20% fringe of your "side" happy and engaged while also not alienating the middle.

Trump's superpower here is forcing the democrats into doing that. You don't have to have good positions yourself (ex. tariffs aren't popular or really even that good of policy if you use them as a blanket instead of being selective) if you can force your opponent to defend waste, men in women's restrooms, hiring people not based on their actual qualifications, etc.

There's absolutely no reason to get offended if they don't go. It's their decision, whatever.

However, nothing wrong with calling out their completely made up reasons as to why.

Trump announced recently that he wants to put a statue of Kobe on the National Mall.

Yep. Dems have been missing the forest for the trees at astonishing levels over the last decade.

I love it when people post the map like some big gotcha without realizing the popular vote was 77 to 75.

I think the map just shows that the majority of people, in a vast majority of our population centers are tired of the left and mandated a change.

This isn't close to reality though. Almost no MAGAs are surprised ignorant athletes are still doing stupid things for stupid reasons, and we really don't give a shite what they choose to do.

This is nothing more than virtue signaling form a bunch of millionaires that still don't understand that majority of citizens aren't buying this BS anymore. I personally hope they never figure it out so we keep winning elections.

1) They have not officially declined
2) Even if they do, their loss, and Trump seems to be a president that will talk to anyone about anything (to his detriment at times as well)
3) They will get cheered/jeered by the two sides, and most people won't care.
4) Can we stop having politics invade everything at all times? I'm so goddamn sick of it.

It’s a lot closer than you want to admit. Post something [not anti-Trump, but simply mildly questioning one of his proposals] on the Politics board and see how reasonable his fanbase is.

OK, guess we'll judge all liberals by the fricking loons at DU if we're not trying to be serious.
