Put the 5 yard non flagrant face mask penalty back in. When a hand comes into contact with a face mask in any fashion, it’s automatically 15 yards now.

The 5 yd non flagrant was probably taken out as an overreaction during their new safety campaign a few yrs ago.

Radical idea: Return to single platoon football and reinstitute a modern version of the leather helmet. Solves the CTE crisis overnight.

The arena rule is like to see is in the last 5 minutes of the game the team with the lead needs to gain yards to keep the clock running. No more kneel downs

I’d also get rid of the crack back block rule.

No more overtime until the Super Bowl

If regulation in the regular season ends in a tie, it’s a tie.

If playoff regulation ends in a tie, the home team advances

Only overtime would be in the Super Bowl

No automatic first down penalties.

Only players can call timeout.

The defensive back can do things to the receiver if he turns his head. If does the same thing without turning his head it is a penalty.

All the ridiculous rules protecting the QB and WRs. Bring back the violence that made the game great.

throwing at someone's feet but short is grounding. it's not a real attempt to complete. same with tossing in general direction of the initial down marker but really out of bounds.
Nah. We don't need more subjective rules.

Agree with this. A pass interference 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 15 should not be a first down.

Without a doubt it would be bringing back the intimidation aspect. Specifically, the QB should be treated like every other player during the course of play. If he wants to stand tall in the face of a rush, let him pay the price for doing so. Why is in the grasp and sliding a thing? Anytime he crosses the line of scrimmage, he should be treated the same as any other ball carrier. You shouldnt be able to pick him up and suplex him, but nothing wrong with a bone jarring legal tackle.

This would also apply to Targeting in all of its forms. The rule is absolutely ruining the game. They could have policed the game better within existing rules rather than invent that shite.
