I agree money isn't the only thing, but OKC is already a contender, and still a young team. Outside of the Warriors or Spurs where could he go next year that puts him in a better situation?

OKC without durant didn't even make the playoffs last season. So obvi if he were to join one of the perennial playoff teams there's a good chance they'd be better than OKC.

List the teams he could go to outside of Spurs and Warriors where they beat Spurs convincingly in 6 and take Warriors to 7 and have a legit shot at beating them being up 3-1
If you're saying other teams would be better that's pretty much implying they're a top 2 favorite to win the finals, I just don't see it

I've already said he will go to Miami. Better front office that spoils players, more successful coach, better quality of life, more forgiving fans, solid supporting cast, easier conference, Wade steps back so its his team, no sales tax.. I could go on and on. Does anybody really think that Buss or whoever from OKC can outmanuver Riley, if he really wants Durant?

With a banged up curry for GSW? Spurs this year were one of the most overrated teams In League history IMO. There were posts about them being better than the Warriors/an all time great team all year. Clearly their record was boosted by the west being as bad as it has been that I can remember outside of GSW.
Clippers
Miami
are two for sure I could add a few others too.

I don't have a problem with any of your other statement, but this one made me laugh. You mean fans who at the end of the day really don't care about them and leave finals games early? Then sure

Wade isn't 29 and best friends with Durant to pull him in for Riley though.

The Pelicans with Holiday and Davis. Instant western conference contenders.

I'll give you Clips, but still not sure Miami would be better than current OKC

You make it sound like they were a top 10 lottery team, they still won 45 games in a loaded west last year.
But yes a perennial playoff team in the west that would be better than his current situation is LAC.

Please point me to where someone has signed for $50mil less guarenteed money.
This is a unique situation due to the jump in the salary cap and is a huge break for OKC.

Surely isn't Houston....
Roberson and Beverley are washes as their "defensive guard".
Waiters at this point is better than Terry
Foye is better than Brewer
Adams, Ibaka, and Kanter are better than Howard, Montiejunas, Jones, Smith, or whoever they put on the court
Ariza/Beasley is better as a backup to Durant than Singler.
Donovan is a better coach than D'Antoni
and the last two pieces: Harden or Westbrook. Westbrook plays defense consistently, Harden has done it one year, so hard to say who's the better one so its a wash. the team comp around durant is better in OKC than it is in houston who have more deficiencies.

CC is a FA destination they will be much improved next season. Gotta give harden the advantage over Westbrook. Harden has made the playoffs every year. With no durant Westbrook could not make the playoffs. Harden one of only 5 players to get a first place MVP vote in the last 4 years. Russ not on the list.

How would he make that much less? He is going to sign a one year deal wherever he goes, then a max deal next year. How would he lose that much?

the king of moral victories...
It is a what have you done for me lately right?
Lately Westbrook has been the better player defensively and offensively.
Harden received 1st place votes last year and that was the only year was it not? So that argument was pointless.

You people act like the thought that a 6'11 with g who will be making 40 million s year when hes 33 has not crossed anyoned mi d. Thats not a shite take.
I'm not even saying teams aren't going to do it anyway never did I say that. I said he can sign a 150 mil contract right now.
Let me put it this way. Take the lotto winners dude win 500 million dollars. But he wuld rather get the 200 million lump sum right now.
Right now he can sign a 150 million dollar contract. What if he tears an acl next year?
Not even mentioning what if he likes okc? If he signs that 40 mil a year deal you know those cheap frick owners agent going to pay anyone else but Westbrook. Even with the cap going up afamsy Robinson and kanter bout to get broke off. What about ibeka
