Don’t let Rob Manfred see this. It’s just stupid enough for him to try it.

My favorite thing (s/) about people who propose ridiculous rule changes to sports is that there's no way that these people actually enjoy the sport

These are people who wanna sit on their phone the entire time and talk about their lives throughout the event and leave it early when they are tired of the game

if you think MLB in 2025 is boring, please just go find something else to spend your time on and quit worrying about changing something so great. Go find a new tiktok page and quit this bullshite i see all the time. So fricking whiny and annoying

How about… let’s keep baseball the same? The tradition of baseball is what has made it special and I think excitement and viewership is coming back around. Starts with better marketing of players at the MLB level, college baseball has done a great job of this the past few years

As for your idea, it’s stupid. If you don’t have the attention span to watch a baseball game, don’t watch. Most people like you who whine about baseball don’t understand what you’re watching.

The batter can already run to 3rd base. It's been tried.

How about holding motorcycle races around the warning tracks during the game. It would be awesome!

I suggest the pitcher's mound be replaced with a platform that slowly moves side to side.

I realize this may sound somewhat similar to my NFL proposal to have the goal posts sway side to side, but that's very different. The pitcher's platform would not be able to sway as fast, as you wouldn't want the pitcher to fall and get injured in the gear works - that's just a practical consideration.

So, you want to see batters getting drilled left and right by 95+ mph pitches because it would be more “entertaining” for you?

The NBA is the one that's boring. MLB is certainly not boring. You picked the completely wrong sport to be concerned about.

Jeez tough crowd. I thought the sport that invented analytics would love an idea that would add an additional layer of strategy to the mix.
How about this?
Each strikeout counts as 1/9th of a run for his team.
That would put more pressure on these 1 tool hr goons to be real ball players
Looking at you Alonzo!

Not the same. That’s like saying Japanese and chinese players are the same. Black americans that’s ingrained into america in all aspects. Not melanted people with an accent

No it's not. Black is a skin color. Chinese and Japanese are nationalities with multiple ethnicities within each.

If you mean US born black players, say that.
