I was never a Pete Rose fan, but that is just not true.

Fosse was hitting over 300 with about 15 jacks and 45-50 RBI at the all-star break. Rose ran him over and separated his shoulder. Ray was really never the same although he suffered from numerous injuries over the years.

I like to blame it on Rose although that might not be the whole truth.

I hated when we traded him to the A's for no-hit Dave Duncan!

Fosse was a great defensive catcher.

Kidding. I continue to be amazed at what that horse accomplished. His performance at Belmont was almost supernatural...

No doubt, I watch the video about once a month. I was a 13 year old kid. It was amazing how Big Red took over the country during that racing season.
