Why in the world would you post this picture?

Don't ya think his family might not like a picture of his condition on the interwebs?

Pretty shitty of you to post this

Sad to see. I talked with him about 6-7 years ago, and he didn’t look ANYTHING like that. I can only hope that he somehow goes peacefully when it’s time. 71 is too young these days. I just celebrated my 36th birthday with my 73 year old dad. I lost both of my grandfather’s to Alzheimer’s. I pray it doesn’t impact my father or myself.

And?

Little bit of a difference between those seeing em live and posting a picture on line.

Would you want a picture of yourself posted in that condition?

Uh, it was posted on the Kentucky Football FB page. And on KSR.

ETA: I saw him with Stoops at the practice and didn’t know who it was until I got home and saw the pic they posted.

Yep, me too. I was talking to my buddy about that with 40 seconds left. I've been a UK fan too long, but that final play was pretty rediculous. Ball tipped multiple times.

He was diagnosed back in 2016 when he started first exhibiting symptoms apparently. He did this interview with WKYT in 2017 about his diagnosis. So they were pretty public about it.

I was with a former HS coach who had sat down with him several times when he was recruiting some of his players here in Jefferson. He didn’t recognize him either. I was shocked when I saw the pic when I got home. Hopefully he’s finding some joy with what he has left by being able to get out and do these things.

Jesus, I can't even recognize him in that photo without it being pointed out to me that it's him. It's such a horrible disease, I think I'd rather go out quickly than the slow burn of letting my closest loved ones have that be their last memories of me, ya know?

Hope everything's going as well as it can for him.

RIP Coach Morriss

71 years young

Former Kentucky football coach Guy Morriss died Tuesday after battling Alzheimer’s. He was 71 years old.

Morriss, who coached Kentucky from 2001 to 2002, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2016. In a 2017 interview with WKYT, Morriss acknowledged the disease would likely be fatal for him but reported positive strides after a new treatment regimen.

My condolences to his family, friends, Kentucky fans and other fans of his. Was a pretty good NFL player for Dick Vermeil’s Eagles in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s.
