Then why go to the game? You can stay at home and avoid traffic altogether, ya know?
Tailgating. PreGame festivities. Watching the beginning of the game before it's a blowout.
If we're blowing out a semi-big time program then I'll stay. But I have better things to do then watch us run out the clock with our backups in against some team I knew couldn't compete with us going into the game.

You have a problem with people protesting pointless FCS scrimmages and trying to beat hellish traffic, but are completely fine with bailing on your team when they actually need your support? You are quite literally the worst type of fan there is.

Im a huge LSU fan but living in San Antonio. SO I cant go to games as much as I would like. But last night during the 4th Quarter I was watching the other games on more than LSU. Am I a phony lsu fan?
IMO, yes

OOC Paycheck games = NFL preseason. Go for a half, watch the first and usually second teams play, go home early.
Once the conference games start, I'm there from beginning to end.

I'm sorry you're retarded
If the schools want people to stay the entire game, schedule a better opponent.
Kudos to him for driving 7 hours for such a shitty game.

probably the most pathetic display I've seen by our fans was the WVU game that was a single score game in the 4th and TS over half empty. I don't think most have a problem with fans leaving early for cupcake blowouts, but that was kind of sad.
Hell if someone want to leave a game early, go for it, but do not then turn around and pump your chest about having the best fanbase in the country.

So the social atmosphere. Gotcha.
I'm just an insufferable prick who can't stand the presence of other human beings, but love to stay the whole 60 minutes of a football game.

Sorry I was referring to the Cupcake games. WVU did not fall into that category. But most do now that all of our good OOC games are neutral site.

I agree. The only time I've voluntarily left a game early was the 2012 NC game. But hey, after Richardson scored that game was done.
I don't see why you would leave a game like last night when your team is dominating.

I know, I wasn't meaning you in particular with my post.

another excuse i hear fans make about leaving early is that they want to beat the traffic.
if it is such a big deal or an annoyance for them, stay at home.

Watching a team that is up huge just run the ball to kill time off the football is exciting?
LSU for example only attempted 5 passes in the second half and spent the half running the ball to kill the clock. Not exactly exciting football.

It's not exciting watching your team dominate and pad their stats?
Against a hapless FCS team? That's boring as hell.

This is worse than leaving early when you're winning IMO. Shows your team you aren't behind them when they have an off day.

If we are losing and there is no coming back, I leave on purpose to show the program that I am pissed for losing the game. But leaving while you are winning is a fricking disgrace
WOW. You need to think about this statement here for a second.

Yes. I watched the entire game on the edge of my seat hoping we'd complete the shut out. I was ecstatic when we did.

I might have left if I was at the game, but watching the freshmen getting playing time in the 2nd half was pretty awesome last night tbh.
ETA: I was split screening with the V Tech tOSU game.

Do like me and watch comfortably from a suite and jet-pack from the stadium to a waiting car, bypassing the traffic.
