I find it so dumb how all sports media said SMU is in regardless

First off, I have to say I bet $400 on +285 SMU to not make playoff odds, so I will win $1,200 if SMU doesn't make it.
It was by every single sports media analyst I heard. I thought it was a horrible opinion because almost every single year a Conference Title game loser has been knocked outside of the top 4. Just last year, UGA was by far most dominant team in CF and had every single 1st placed AP vote. Lost to Bama by a measly 3 points, and were booted all the way down to #6 and knocked out. Georgia would've likely won a 3rd straight Nati if they had knocked been ranked so low and made it in.
It happened to 2019 UGA. It happened to USC.
There was absolutely no reason to believe they couldn't be knocked out.
Want to know the reason why all sports media said this? Most sports media are MidWest guys and are tired of Bama kicking their arse. They said it out of emotion and bias because they did not want Bama coming in and wrecking their shop again.
SMU has 75th ranked SOS. They will be 0-2 vs Top 25. 0 reason they should make it in if they lose here.

Can't really compare to previous years when the committee has thus far flip flopped on how they're going to handle the "bonus game" conference title.

Why shouldn’t they be?
The committee already said SMU is better than Alabama. That’s not because they are the highest ranked ACC team. They would have ranked Arizona State higher as well if that was the case.
If Clemson wins, they get the bid. Hell, they will get the 4 seed
Why should SMU get bumped when Alabama sat at home?

A team that’s in this week shouldn’t be punished for having to play an extra game. The only reason I’d listen to an argument for keeping them out is if they get boat raced tonight.

Interesting take from someone who idolizes Cosmo Kramer.

Translation - the committee has emphatically* stated that a team which was otherwise qualified for the playoffs won’t be penalized for losing its conference championship game.
*unless of course changing this rule allows Bama to get into the playoffs

I also won $8,000 on Trump election. I placed $600 on Trump to win popular vote margin by 1.00-1.99%. 13x odds.. I did this because liberal media bias shortchanged him 3% in 2016 and 2020. 538 had kamala win popular vote margin by 1.2%. Add 3% Trump to that and now that made it +1.8% Trump.
I also won $5,000 on Jayden to win heisman placed after Miss St game. 35x odds.
I almost almost won $30k on Jayden #1 overall pick. 75:1 odds. I put down $400 in October. In hindsight he was the best player in draft. I knew that because he had an FBS record 208 passer rating and did this vs a Top 5 SOS. Caleb had a 160 passer rating and a much easier Pac 12 defense to play verse.
I placed Bama Nati odds after 2023 Miss St during game in September. They were at +2500 odds. Put down $200. This was lowest point for them last year. They ended up in Semi-Final and 1 fumble away from beating Michigan.
I have very few stories of losing when I placed these mega odds bets. Yeah I named 2 losses above, but they were great bets for the 25x to 75x odds.
I went to a Top 5 full time MBA on a $100,000 scholarship. I am very good at these things.

Sean McDonough (ESPN play-by-play guy calling the ACCCG) said that SMU should be in regardless because they’re one of the best teams in the country.
Oof.
Oof.

I don't see how that makes sense. If SMU were a top 6 team and undefeated I could see it. But ranked 8th and 75th ranked SOS, another loss will drop you 4 spots and out.

Will they? They’re currently ranked behind ASU, who has a better record, and ASU beat the living hell out of Iowa State today.

I hope they make it just so you lose $400

Either post all of your bet slips for proof or stfu. No one cares you a few bets but lose $10k a year gambling

subtle brag

Well I'd rather straight out brag than subtle brag. I'd rather someone straight up brag to me than do a lot of subtle ones.

You might’ve gone to an Ivy League MBA program but you post like you dropped out of Southern

The committee may change how they treat conference title game losses in this new era.

Not as stupid as having Bummer in.
