Did you not see him with the fox crew after the interview? He looked pretty calm and relaxed to me.
What did you expect from a player that literally just came off the game ending play that sends them to their first SB?

Because it wasn't screaming at the top of your lungs at Erin Andrews.

This happens a lot.
And I have rarely seen an interview like that.
Look, it's not a big deal.
But it's irrational to say we have to choose between THAT and coachspeak.

He could've gone about the interview better. He didn't need to be shouting into the microphone with Andrews right there Sure. Him and Crabtree were probably trash talking each other all game though. He let his emotion get the best off him.
I agree, although I find coachspeak funny.

I doubt they are too embarrassed. A person shouldn't identify themselves so much with a sports team that they are embarrassed when a player gives a "bad" interview after the game.

I always laugh when people say they are embarrassed about how people they never met played a game.
Eta: I'm trying to figure out why LSU fans might have been embarrassed by laron? For blowing people up and talking shite? That's alpha shite there.

I'm as big of a sports fan as you'll meet, but I'll be damned if I lose any sleep over the actions of a player. Especially an interview. If this subject was about Aaron Hernandez, it might hold a little more weight, but even then why be embarrassed over someone that has no bearing on your life.

Just like the LSU fans were secretly embarrassed about Laron Landry

Why are we embarrassed about Laron?

Thank you. I'm trying to think back to something Laron did that might have been comparable. Nothing yet.

Just read his article he wrote in SI a few weeks ago to see why I thought it was pretty dumb for him to call out Crabtree on national tv.
Good WWE promo though, he just needed to throw out a hogan-ish BROTHER or a 3:16 reference.

Lebron never set foot on a college campus. Sherman graduated from Stanford.

Their first Super Bowl ???? U sure bout dat?

FWIW, Richard Sherman might be a dick, but he's very educated and intelligent.
Also, he's really good at the football. Part of me wishes Crabtree would have punched him in the nose.

What I find funny, is how everyone hates how PC the players are becoming and how football is becoming 'pussified' but here you have Sherman and this Seahawks team and you guys seem to hate him with a passion. Just earlier today there was a thread about how cheesy RW is in his interviews.
Agreed. IMO Sherman's an a-hole, but so are most pro athletes.
I hope he gets his bc I'm a Broncos fan, that's about it.

i mean sherman sounded like a idiot, and i hate the seahawks... BUT it was comming right off of an emotional win and huge play where adrenelin is still pumping strog, and i only saw it once "live" and could be wrong... but he didnt cuss at all in the interview.. so i have no real problem with it
Posted on 1/20/14 at 7:33 am to oleyeller
Not good enough for me. He ought to be able reel it in some.
Posted on 1/20/14 at 7:41 am to hikingfan
Sherman acted just like Drew Brees does before a game. only he did it after a game and after he backed up his smack
