Clemson scored 40 in that title game loss. Ole miss 40 something and Arkansas had 30 that year. Not to be too literal but Bama needed some big games from the offense that year and got them from him
Clemson won 35-31 in Tampa.

There's no such thing as "the next Taysom Hill"
Jeff Driskel could be a better version of Taysom Hill if he wanted to be but guys who have been QBs their whole life want to be QBs

Bama had 28 and 21 non-offensive points in these games

Failure at a BAMA, processed, failed at Oklahoma

Great athlete, mediocre QB. Put up big stats against overmatched opponents. Struggled in most big games against good teams
Les Miles’ wet dream. Instead he ended up with Jordan Jefferson

That was Jake Coker and the 2015 season.
Hurts had the Goat Bama defense 2016 and was 3 trash.

Great career, nothing memorable.
Yep^^^.
All college QBs make the CFP 4 years in a row, start 2 NC games, appear in another NC game and start in a CFP semi final

Today was his best performance in 5 playoff starts, if that says anything.

Besides Trevor Lawrence and Deshawn Watson, could u remind me again, which QB has appeared in more than one?
Also, he walked off the field @ 1:10 having scored the go ahead TD as a true freshman.
As far as today, do you think Rattler or Mordecai could have led OU to the CFP?

Unfortunately for him, I think he'll be remembered most for getting benched in the national title game.

Those are team accomplishments though.

Very possible. More people are quick to criticize These days it seems, than judge an entire body of work.
Don’t know if he was ever a bonafide NFL prospect or not. Most will also forget he played for different OCs all 4 years.

But he saved the day for Gump the following season in the SECCG.

The guy finished this season with 5k total yards and 51 TD's. That's pretty fricking good.
