How much would you give up to get Stafford?

I feel like this could turn into a bidding war. Could be good for the Lions.

Teams already are reaching out to the Detroit Lions to initiate trade talks and figure out what it would take to acquire QB Matthew Stafford, per sources.

I think Carolina is a darkhorse team to watch in any Matthew Stafford trade. Sweet spot for me is teams in the backend of the first round. Panthers are at No. 8, which would give Lions two in top 10. Teddy Bridgewater isn't answer in Carolina. Stafford has several good years left

His cap number

Stafford has a team-friendly deal with two years and $43 million remaining. In 2021, he’s owed $20 million, and in 2022, $23 million

If the Lions could get the 8th pick they’d have to jump all over that no?

That'd be great for Carolina to get him. I'd say a 2nd, 3rd, and some other players would be fair

I think this is the best value they'll get. No way Carolina gives up a top 10 pick

Stafford has a lot more than that, I could easily see him playing until he’s 40.

I’ll throw in a conditional 5th if Stafford makes 16 games next season.

he has a $10 million roster bonus due on March 5th, he will be traded before then

I wonder if the Texans are interested? They could get Stafford and top 10 pick.

Carolina isn't quite there yet. It would be dumb for them to take on an expensive QB.

Indianapolis and San Francisco are the best landing spots. Both would be instant Super Bowl contenders.
