As I've said before a lot depends on what happens with ND and Indiana. If ND ends up 9-3 or 8-4 and Indiana is 6-6 then a 1 loss P5 conference champ is getting in ahead of a 12-0 Cincy IMO.

how if one gets knocked out in the SECCG?
I'm thinking if the SEC Championship stays close, winner is #1 and loser is #3. That way, you don't get an instant rematch.

There are not four teams in CFB that deserve to be in the playoffs over Cincinnati right now.

Cincy is a fraud and would be exposed if they played in a real conference. Can anybody honestly say they would go undefeated if they played an SEC or Big Ten schedule? No, they wouldn't and they shouldn't be rewarded for playing a 1-2 game season when everyone else has navigate a Power conference schedule.

In the end it won't matter because somebody is going to clip them this season.

Notre Dame is not good this year, it's a rebuild year for them. And this is Cincy's signature win.

I can name 3 in the B1G alone right now

Michigan
Iowa
Penn St

They all play each other so it will weed themselves out

I’d like to see if Cincinnati can beat oSu because I don’t think they could. I know they don’t beat tOSU

There’s only 2 really good teams, so why does it matter?

That only happens if UGA wins. Then Bama will get the 3 seed. If Bama wins then UGA is out. I don’t see UGA getting special treatment.

I am a Notre dame fan. Easy money this week. Virginia Tech is a lock to beat us. Notre dame offense is a mess. Tightend is also injured. I am thinking about driving to a casino and put a monster bet on Virginia tech. Easy money. Va tech playing good defense. Don't worry Nd will lose more this year.

Because this years football team has so much say on what conference they’re in.

Look is it an even playing field? No. But the NCAA has arbitrarily put these 10 conferences on the same playing field by putting them competing for the same national championship. This whole “well so and so isn’t in a power 5 so we can’t have them play for the national title that we have them competing for at the beginning of the season” shite has gotten so old and stale. Will cincy likely get beat in the first round? Of course. But not even giving them the chance to do it if they go unbeaten because of something this years team has no control over is ridiculous.

Totally agree! People said, play some big boys on the road and then come talk to us. So they go out and play a B1G team and Notre Dame on the road...and that still isn't good enough. If Cincinnati were in the Big 12 this year, i think they would win that conference. People act like Cincinnati just arrived, but the reality is they have been solid for years now. They are absolutely deserving this year if they go undefeated. Since 2007, the Bearcats have eleven 9 wins seasons. They are a solid program!

2007 - 10-3
2008 - 11-3
2009 - 12-1
2011 - 10-3
2012 - 10-3
2013 - 9-4
2014 - 9-4
2018 - 11-2
2019 - 11-3
2020 - 9-1
2021 - 4-0...

They will have some tests in the AAC. #24 SMU, Houston, Memphis and UCF will all be tough tests. Its not like they are going through the MAC or CUSA. The AAC has some solid programs.

I think Bama, Georgia, Iowa/PSU, and Cincy is most likely at this point. Oregon is waiting in the wings for a Cincy loss or Iowa and Penn State to have 2 losses each. Undefeated Michigan would be an option too but I don't think that will happen.

Love seeing Cinci get some playoff talk. Good thing OSU didn't play them early in the year or they'd be 3-2 right now.

It's a long season so we'll see where things go, but they are deserving of a spot right now.

And? Oregon,ND and OU have all made the playoffs playing in a weak conference or schedule.

If I'm one of the Big Ten teams and finish as a 1 loss conference champion and get left out for Cincy I would be pissed. Right now you've got Iowa, PSU, OSU, Michigan, Michigan State all ranked high with some other solid conference teams you'll have to navigate through. You get through that to win the conference only to miss out on the CFP for Cincy? F that. All because Cincy beat a weak ND team that we all knew was in a rebuilding year.
