hmmm, agree to disagree then

and here are TO's numbers for anyone else who wants to say he won't get in, or shouldnt or whatever

15,934 yards, 2nd all-time
152 TDs, 2nd all-time

enough of that nonsense

Oh I missed one or two recent retirees. Sorry I have a life outside of following every fricking thread on TD and watching the NFL like a fantasy football nerd.

A lot of people don't understand how good of a career TO has put together

I think people lump him with the OchoCincos who are all talk and Don't have the numbers to back up the talk

Well, in the past couple years, # of people MH has shot > # of receptions MH has. That's a pretty big miss.

If Champ Bailey is a HOF lock, Ed Reed has to be a HOF lock as well.

I apologize. You win at knowing everything about the NFL. Have a great life one day.

I know this sounds outrageous, but Cris Carter and Andre Reed are still not in. Also, someone put Vinitieri and kickers just are not locks regardless of how clutch they were.

Well this thread is not about first ballot... if it was about first ballot then really only Manning/Brady probably fit that bill unless AP/SJax/Harrison continue their play for awhile.

Just retired in November according to Wikipedia.

I'd say he's a lock though.

His NFL records:
* Consecutive seasons with at least 1,300 yards receiving (6).
* Consecutive seasons with 90+ receptions (6).
* Torry Holt along with Marvin Harrison are the only receivers with two 1,600 yard receiving seasons.
* Highest Average Gain, Game (3 receptions +), 63.00, Torry Holt, September 24, 2000
* Ranked first in the NFL from 2000-08 with 817 receptions for 11,872 yards and 562 first downs during that span
* Reached 10,000 (116 games) and 11,000 (130 games) career receiving yards faster than any other player
* Super Bowl rookie record for receptions (7) and receiving yards (109) in 1999
* Top 10 in career receiving yards.
* Second-highest receiving yards per game, career (77.4 yds/game)
* Receptions in a single decade (868, 2000–2009)
* Receiving yards in a single decade (12,594, 2000–2009)

Cris Carter will get in at some point. It's effing retarded that he isn't in now. Same for Shannon Sharpe yet EdSabol will probably make it this year. The NFL HOF voting is the worst of the Big 3 American sports.

No, HOF voters are stingy with wideouts see my above post. Moss, TO, and Harrison (yes, I know he is retired) should get in way before Ward).
