How long do you think the grafted on PAC schools will last in the B1G?

I'd imagine most of the alumni bases of these West Coast schools will tire of being strapped to a Rust Belt Conference..

Well the mega conferences are here to stay, unless there is some type of breakaway from the NCAA or the system melts down. I don't think we are ever going back to 1995 or whatever era you dream about.

I’m thinking the old pac -12 teams will join the big 10 and they will have an east and west league.

If there were a viable regional Avenue, they never would have joined. The big ten got the only national brands in the two western time zones and have created an elite league of athletic departments with unprecedented media footprint and brand identity.

They’re not leaving big 10 revenue share to go back to Stanford, Oregon State, Arizona.
Not really sure what OP’s premise is, outside of stating these conferences are geographically awkward. They are. 100%.
But the money faucet is running wide open.

Forever. The networks are driving this. They know which schools bring value and which schools don’t. We are getting to 2 conferences of 32 schools each. The ACC and Big 12 are next up for cannibalization. B1G/SEC will be the last two standing. Four divisions of 8 teams. NFL style format. It’s coming. Deal with it.

That is never going to happen. Iowa State?. Kansas State? Lol. They're more likely to fall down to G6 status.
If any of those schools brought additional value they would already be in the BIG. There is only one school left that could do that and that is Notre Dame.

Most are transplants and not alums. I honestly doubt adding them would move the TV ratings needle at all. Fans are already watching the games
