For the record HP had about $7.25 million in interest income in Q1 of 2025 with a little over $2.5 billion in net income in 2024. The PIF had revenue of over $88 billion last year.

Well, for one, you seem to be confusing “interest” with the amount of deposited cash that is backed by the FDIC.

As a hint, they are not related.

The US Government pays nearly $1 trillion a year in interest to its bond holders.

Banks pay interest on CDs - same principle.

This isn’t very complicated. But you seem to think that having a lot of money means you don’t make money on interest. Or that if for some reason you lent $1bn to a bank they’d offer you a very low interest rate compared to the market.

So I’ll ask again, what point are you trying to make?

Yes. They signed a Fox tv deal…it is worth a lot. Not NFL/NBA/PGA but a lot

LIV pays the production costs so it wasn’t a lucrative TV deal.

They also handed out guaranteed contracts in the hundreds of millions to lure PGA players to come to LIV. They’ve probably lost close to a billion at this point.

Regardless of how the money is invested, if it truly is $1 trillion then a 1% return would be $100 million.

I'll never really understand LIV going with an XFL approach instead of just outclassing PGA events in obnoxious trillionaire fashion

That's an excellent idea that I've never thought of. A lot of my interest in golf tournaments is driven by the course. LIV plays worse courses than the PGA Tour, and the PGA tour can only play courses that can fit their huge infrastructure. LIV doesn't need all of that. It would be cool to see a tournament at Cape Kidnappers, Brora, etc. I don't care if pros would decimate that course. It would be cool just to see them.

Rankings aren’t the only metric that dictate stars. Is Phil even in the top 1000 in the world?

100%, that's what I candidly expected would happen and I was disappointed. They can splash cash to rarely-seen courses and use no-budget $$$ for tech to show it to us.

Instead we get gimmicky team names

Ummm, I think there is a typo here.

Actually never mind, I would love to be your investment advisor, I guarantee you I will pay you a 10% return on everything I invest for you!

You right. But the larger point still being that a very minimal rate of return would generate millions of dollars in interest on that amount of capital.

Poor troll attempt?

Anyone with 3rd grade google ability can find out everything they need to know about LIV and the Saudis.

0/10 for your efforts.
