How is 16-16 Texas even mentioned as a bubble team?

I don't care who they played. At 16-16 they should be an NIT bubble team.

The bubble is weak as hell this year. In most years, Alabama wouldn’t be considered either.

Dont blame them. Blame the pac 12 for being comparable to when the SEC was at its absolute bottom 5 or so years ago

If Oregon wins tonight the PAC could get 3 teams and Belmont would get dropped Amazing Oregon was top 15 team before Bol injury and floundered. It allowed Texas and Bama a shot

Nevada Oregon would be a fun first round game.

There were some people making the argument South Carolina should get in, and they were 16-16 in a worse conference.

You think the Big12 is better than the SEC this year or just deeper? SEC is going to get 7 or 8 teams in the dance.

They pulled a couple upsets early in conference so they had a deceiving early record but they were bad in non-conference and never more than 2 games over .500 all season.

Also 10 years ago the NCAA would let mid majors be at large bids without quality wins. The past 5 years or so we’ve seen the committee pass on mid majors if given the chance. I think the NCAA now will give power conference schools a lot more lead way now than ever before. From a viewership standpoint Texas brings more eyes than a school like Belmont.

Ridiculous. Them and Indiana have no business being on the bubble

Both. The Big 12 will get 7 teams in the dance this year, but that’s out of 10 teams, not 14.

It doesn’t matter that you don’t care who they played.

Big 12 is the best conference this year.

Oregon win would shrink the bubble. Texas isn’t getting in.

Their consideration is because the bubble teams sucked. They play in a strong conference and went 8-10. Losing record teams from the ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12 frequently sneak in.

They also had some big non conference wins sprinkled with some oddly bad losses. It’s one of the more unique resumes I have seen in a while.

The frick. The ACC has 4 teams that are going to be on the 3 line and better. Best team in the Big 12 is going to be what a 3?? SEC will have two 2s and a 3 or a 1 a 2 and a 3 and probably two other teams in the 5 or 6 seed range.

The consensus among people who actually do their homework is:
1 Big 12
2 Big Ten
3 ACC
4 SEC
5 Big East
6 Pac-12

Scroll all the way down

That's over 100 ranking systems, and not a single one has ACC at #1.
