I was pulling hard for Petersen during LSU's recent coaching search. After Miles and Orgeron the program desperately needed a healthy dose of professionalism. I had CP as my #1 and Aranda as my 1A. Of course, Kelly would have been high on that list as well if I had thought he was realistic.

Big teams not giving a shite in BCS bowl games when they fell short was common

You’ll get hate but this isn’t super outlandish. You think Auburn was fired up to be playing UCF after being #2 earlier in the month having beaten both Bama and UGA. Then turning around after the SEC championship game to have to watch BOTH of them in the CFP while they were in the Peach Bowl

They were up 28-10 midway through the 3rd quarter and OU was punting the ball away.

When OU scored to tie it up, we all thought Boise is going to blow this. It happens all the time, little guy is the better team all game and then crumbles...

And then Zabransky throws that awful pick-6 with like a minute left in the game - Oklahoma scores two TDs in 2 minutes to take the lead.

And you're shaking your head...it always turns out this way.

I think a couple of those teams could have made it to a title game in the current system.
