Barry Bonds has a ridiculous stat line, batting a career .298, and career OPS of 1.051. Obviously, we know about the 762 homers, and the 688 IBB. However, he also roided up, although he was a great hitter as he was. He had ridiculous slash lines from 2001-2004. How would he fare in today's game (no roids)? How well would he hit at Yankee stadium (one of the most hitter-friendly parks for lefties)?

How would he stack up against Trout (solid 40-45 HR's a year if he stays healthy, and is consistently above .300), Judge (could get close to single-season record if he keeps it up), Alonso, Altuve, etc?

He was fun to watch, roids or no roids.

Statistically, either he or Ruth is the greatest player ever.

Best player ever. Certainly statistically.

I maintain had he not had an a-hole persona with the media, he might have gotten a better reception overall.

Ruth has him beat, but to be fair, Ruth's contemporaries weren't as good as Barry's for the most part.

I saw him play in Fulton Co stadium when he was with the Pirates. I was a little guy but remember it clearly.

Took a trip out to San Fran in September of 2000. Sat right behind home plate, new Pac Bell. Bonds saw about four decent pitches all night.. he hit all four into McCovey Cove, 2 fair 2 foul. He was the best I’ve ever seen.

He was the best player in an era where roids were prominent . There’s nothing you can say to change my mind that he’s the best of all time

He cooked the books, literally. Bonds is a fraud just like the rest of the roid ragers

Didn’t he tie or break the record off a known juicer?

Without reading the rest of this thread, I'm assuming you're going to try and tie Judge into this somehow, so I'll end this before it starts.

Aaron Judge couldn't hold Barry Bonds's jock. Bonds is the best baseball player ever.

The best pharmaceutically enhanced baseball player ever.
Argue it out among Sosa/ARod/Palmeiro for second.
