Why? Sounds really lame. Ya'll afraid to play men?

UConn, Notre Dame, UT - traditionally - could beat your H.S. team.
You're out of your damn mind. All the starters on my high school team played in college. Two of them started at big-time programs in college. We were essentially a college-level team.

So you are saying female college basketball players could beat college-level boys basketball teams?

After practice one day the girls team came over from the other gym and wanted to play and said to go hard. So we played.

I think UConn/ND women could beat a mediocre boys HS team on superior fundamentals if nothing else. I also think they would get boat raced by a nationally ranked HS boys team.

Who cares if you destroyed a H.S. girls team...
Because we were a high school boys team of similar skill relative to our competition.

The point was to show how wide the gap is.

If you're talking Uconn girls vs your average Joe pick up game. I'm picking ?the girls about a good 7 or 8/10. If were talking uconn girls vs an elite high school team. ?the girls don't stand a chance. Those girls can flat out ball. They work every bit as hard as the men. Its not their fault that the
Y are soooo physically disadvantaged to men. I enjoy watching women's b all

My girls HS team in the 4 years I was there won 4 district titles, 4 region titles and made the state final game 4 of those 4 years. The team was made up of one of the best girls AAU teams in the east coast at the time. The majority of them were in my grade so their core group was together for fours years.

I'll put it this way my intramural HS league team made up of guys who smoked to much weed, football, soccer and baseball players beat the living dog shite out of these girls when they played in our league my sophomore year. They played in it again my senior year and our team of just friends who played other HS sports lit them up.

There's no way I think the teams I played with could have beaten WNBA players.

If they both used the smaller ball that women use or If they both used the larger ball that men use, any average boys high school team could beat every WNBA team.

Women's college basketball is ruined by there being zero parity. Like 3 teams get all the good players every year and all the games that one of those teams plays is a laugher. The highest seed to ever win the women's tournament is a 3 seed. Uconn's closest game this year has been 11 points. I don't know why a player would even want to play for a team like that. At best you are going to play 3 or 4 competitive games a year.

UConn mens and womens teams are a combined 12-0 in NCAA championship games. Pretty impressive.

I disagree heavily. Your average high school boys team is not going to beat a wnba team. Period. And I'm confident about that.

UConn men's last 2 titles each by themselves is more impressive than the girls team being 8-0

Yea not an "average" team. But a good playoff team would win the WNBA title fairly easily. And I'm confident about that.

When I played football at TCU in the summer time when we were bored we would go to the rec and play basketball and we would play pick up games against the TCU women a lot... TCU women at the time were a consistent NCAA tourney team and won the MWC so they were probably a Top 40 team in WBB and we would usually beat them 21-2 or 21-4 they would make a few lucky 3 or two but apart from that could not do anything in the paint or defend. And this wasn't TCU football first teamers it was mainly unathletic walk on guys and lineman types

Eventually we would spot them 15 points in a 21 game or play 5-on-3

Depends on where the game is played and how it is called

Big difference between street ball and tourney ball with folks schooled can use the refs to take out the other team. Uconn has had 2 players foul out of a game over a 40 game season. Think about that for a second. You paint your opponent with fouls, stay out of foul trouble yourself, and take 30 FT's a game where you hit 80% to 90% and you will win.

The best teams still don't get everybody. Every year, there are teams like Texas, USC, or Virginia that gets some 5* recruit, but their coaches are not quite as good as Auriemma McGraw Vanderveer, etc.

ESPN sure make that effort. They really need to let the game spread the wealth.
