Also we have no idea what this guy actually said so it’s hard to really judge it here without knowing

The people who banned him know. That’s all that matters.

How do they actually ban a guy from the stadium?

They can't enforce it.

Unless MLB stadiums have cameras running racial recognition at every gate.

Even then.. put on a hat and sunglasses.

There will be a next time and when it happens it will be newsworthy.

They do have facial recognition, it’s called Go Ahead Entry. Big Brother is checking you out every time you walk through an MLB turnstile. Google it.

But it’s peak Rant that people are semi defending this cretin, semi dissing Marte as a wuss for crying and suggesting ways for this cretin to evade the system.

Multiple layers to an onion

Fans that talk shite in general are complete losers that only they themselves think is funny

Crying on the field like he did makes me think drama seeker especially 8 years removed

So what? Don’t put timelines on someone else’s grief. He’s clearly not over it, especially since she died suddenly in her 40s and not peacefully in her bed as an old woman.

This “fan” deserves the punishment. Don’t defend him.

It’s a normal reaction to someone throwing brazen insults about a dead loved one, especially when they died suddenly like his mother did.

If someone called my dead mother basically a whore and told me he was texting her in hell, it would probably bring me to tears too only I would be crying while I was up in the stands stomping a mudhole in this guy’s arse and gladly accepting my suspension and any legal or civil consequences.

This guy wasn’t saying “you suck,” etc., which is juvenile but acceptable.

The defenses of this guy stem again IMO from the attitude, that I have seen on the rant, that because they spend their money on tickets and merchandise and are the ones “who pay the bills,” and because they are the ones who so ardently support their teams literally for generations, fans are demigods who are entitled to say or do anything they want to.

As I noted this dude’s likeness and name are circulating on social media. There’s a side of me that hates that it’s gotten like that, but there’s another side of me that thinks he’s earned the fear he’s feeling right now.

He’s 22, probably in or right out of college? Let’s see him try to get a job. He’s basically ruined his life all because he decided to show off and prove he was bigger than an MLB player to a bunch of bubble brained females.

Might want to stay off this site or you are heading to a wet keyboard

Unfortunately the above wouldn’t reallly make the needle here

And he heard it while batting right? Yet he needed to go out defensively and stop the game later to cry at the mound?

You conveniently left out the last part of my sentence … “only I would be crying while I was up in the stands stomping a mudhole in this guy’s arse and gladly accepting my suspension and any legal or civil consequences.”

Ok so why do you think he needed to wait until the next half inning to cry on the field in front of everyone?

People probably will blast him and say “How dare you, we pay your salary,” but I think the Arizona manager was on target when he said “Baseball needs new fans.”

I doubt this guy is faking this. Some pain from loss does not go away.

You say you can't stand phony crying, but what if it's not fake? Sounds like you rather just judge him. I would rather not judge someone's emotional response when it comes to the loss of their mother to an accident. It doesn't matter how many years it's been.

That doesn't really prove anything at all. I can see holding it together the best you can for a bit before losing it later when it comes to being reminded about the loss of someone that was very important to you. I think people who have experienced loss to this level can absolutely understand this.

Not sure why people are so cold or just assume others are just faking.
