Is it because it’s Shreveport?

heavy rains,wind and lightening today.

Kept getting bumped down the tie in lists for the SEC and BIG 12 conferences then lost them all together. Now they’re just hanging on for dear life.

Lost their SEC tie in. Pretty simple actually.

You kidding? You don’t remember LSU Norte Dame? Or what about LSU and Michigan State with Saban

Ole Miss and Oklahoma was good too lol

Ole Miss was there when they had Eli
Okie St filled the east stands with their fans one year.
Oklahoma the year before they won the NC
I’ve been to about 10, including the snow bowl.

The Independence Bowl has survived for 45 years in a small market town. It is one of the oldest bowls in existence. The history and resilience of the bowl is something to admire, not mock.
"Throughout the first 44 years of the game’s history, 71 First Round NFL Draft selections – including 2019 sixth overall pick Daniel Jones, five Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees – including 2020 inductee Jimmy Johnson, 19 College Football Hall of Famers – including 2018 honorees Frank Beamer and Mack Brown, and seven National Championship-winning coaches have participated in the Independence Bowl" -I do Bowl website

So bad, they held the trophy ceremony the wrong way. We got to watch bald spots the entire time.

Birmingham Bowl replaced as the go-to shitty SEC bowl.
