Also, the strangest thing I've ever seen at a game happened that night. Halfway through the game, they stopped for what was an unknown reason at the time, and both teams lined up shoulder to should and walked from sideline to sideline looking on the ground for something. Come to find out, one of the players lost the tip of his finger in a collision and the teams joined together to search for it. I don't think they found it.

Come to find out, it was still attached. It was hanging on my a thread but noone noticed because of all the blood.

The offense wasn't the problem. The defense was one of the worst in the Les Miles era.

They had Hill and Collins then a couple average guys, then the rest of the roster was filled with pretty terrible guys. I had a bunch of friends who played with them. The guy next to Collins on the line was 5'9 185lbs, not exactly state champ caliber o-lineman

the offense lost us the ole miss game that year. the team also lost the bama game on both sides of the ball. The d cost us the uga game. Either way all that talent and we fail to even make a bcs game because cam is a fraud.

I was there as well. Dileo ran all over them. They actually didn't even give Hill the ball much. They had a QB who tried to shine instead & wasn't that great. And yes, someone's finger def fell off.

My friends went to that game and all they talked about was how much of a monster Collins was

Said he played most of the game at DT and was blowing up 3-4 guys at once at the line of scrimmage

That's crazy. We didn't know what the hell was going on.

Did you play for Redemptorist?

I didn't. I went to a small elementary and middle school that fed into Redemptorist but I went to Woodlawn.

we beat them in the quarters my sophomore year at patterson. We put a freshman oline man in on dline and had him dive at his ankles the whole game. the one time he messed up and missed hill broke a huge run on us.

I was at that game... Never quite got the logic behind holding Hill back, I thought at the time he might have been hurt. And you're right Dileo did have a good night. He did everything but sell popcorn
