How bad would an NBA team from 1994 crush a team from 1964?

I would say at least by 40 right? It would be a bloodbath. Would be cool to see the difference

MJ, Charles, Shaq would absolutely roll. Me and my dad were talking about it because we were both 7 years old respectfully at those years and just getting on to really watch sports

You really think the team from 64 could hang with them?

Depends on the rules. If they played by 1964 rules, the 1994 team would be severely hamstrung (walking, traveling, carrying, etc.).

Wilt would still go for 45/20

Messrs. Russell and Chamberlain might have something to say about that …

Yeah, modern rules would be tough, 1964 rules would be interesting.

You have to look at such things in context. Aaron Judge would be still be great but take him back to 1905 and he’d struggle to hit 15 home runs playing in fields with 500-foot outfield fences and hitting a misshapen, tobacco-stained mush ball that’s been used for nine innings.

The truly great ones could do it in any era.

And starters back on those days rarely came out of games. Wilt averaged 48.5 minutes a game in the 61-62 season.

If you play a 10 game set with a game every other night on 1964 rules and standards then the 64 team wins at least 7 bare minimum. Probably 8 or 9 and 3-4 of those wins are by double digits or more.

If you do it under 2024, it’s closer but will all depend on how many practices the 64 guys get and can get accustomed to the 3 and the softy rules of today. I’d say split series there.

ETA: I see this emotional nutsack of an OP changed it from 2024 to 1994. You aren’t slick.

Wilt v a team with young Shaq and prime David Robinson and Patrick Ewing.

He’s not going 45/20.

Wilt would eat Shaq alive. Forward is where the real weakness would be for 64.

Of course there is MJ.

I'd say there were definitely guys in 64 that could play today and still be stars.

Oscar Robertson, Wilt, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West are examples of players that especially with today's advances in training and all that comes with that would I think would all be very good players today. It's the depth and supporting players where 94 players would have the advantage.

So a NBA team from 2054 would crush a team from today?
