I wonder if Sampson would’ve rode off into tSunset if UH had won.
100%
My guess is he retires anyway. He's almost 70 and he wants to hand the program over to his son. I think Houston is losing most of the contributors on the roster.

Ah man that was rough to watch in the end.

Gonna enjoy this one for awhile since we suck in football now.

Florida was by far the best team the last two months of the season
Yep. They were the best team. They could beat you so many ways.
Just sucks that they won because their coach is a douche bag. Sampson is/was a douche too, but now he's the likable old guy. Wish he would have gotten this one.

This felt like K Samson's last hurrah. The look on his face when they shat the bed was : "My whole career cane down to this..."

Pretty incredible run by Florida to have to beat the likes of UConn, Auburn and Houston.

UofH got beat by a bunch of alpacas.

Houston played scared in the final moments .... that's all there is to it.
when the moment arrived, they were absolutely terrified and didn't know what to do.

Don't forget Maryland and TT, they're both top 10 in NET. I have no idea how Maryland fell to a 4 seed.

I was thinking how much we’d have been shitting our pants if LSU was in Florida’s spot as the clock ran down with the loose ball bouncing there. One can dream

I was last place out of 12 in my bracket company bracket challenge at work after 1st and 2nd round. I just won with this. I got 8 of 8 elite 8 right, 3 of 4 final 4, 2 of 2 nati, and now got the nati winner right.
Out of the 3753 bracket stories I've heard, this one is probably in the top 5

That is a bad way to lose a title game. Real bad.

With fame comes criticism. Can't have your cake and eat it too. LSU lacrosse players will never have online criticism. They also have to pay full tuition and have no amenities and will be graded in class like everyone else. Meanwhile UH will get auto As and Bs without going to class or studying, full ride, free massages after practice, NIL, etc. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
None of this makes sense. In fact I feel like lost some IQ points reading it.

Yes you face criticism at times when you are a big time athlete. And it sucks. But the tradeoff is you get lots of great fame and money and other benefits

True. Luckily, no one in Houston cares. I’ve never seen a major US city care so little about their home team’s sports.
