that's what this mock draft as of today believes. Do we really need another raw finesse, Pau Gasol 7-footer type? Gimme Wayne Ellington or Marcus Thornton.

We actually need a PG and then maybe a SG.
I'd be cool with a W.Ellington or M.Thornton.

He's worse than Koufos...

Mullens is a straight up scrub. He and Jrue Holiday are about to steal a lot of money from somebody's team

I love thornton to death but no. we need a real slasher type.

Thornton can slash, have you been watching him this season, he went to the rim more than anybody on LSU's team. plus he would fill it up from 3 land more than anybody(outside Peja) I've seen this year on the Hornets sorry squad.

If they trade Chandler, they'll need a C just as much as a SG and backup PG.

Slashing in college and slashing in the NBA are two very different things. We can't pick Thornton and expect him to be that type of player, especially right away. I'd rather Danny Green, except he's probably a second rounder. He's a little taller and plays above the rim.

So you want more guys who can't create there own shot?

The Hornets will trade this pick for Stromile Smith probably.
"Stro is a veteran so we decided to trade the pick because I choose to not coach young players" said Head Coach Byron Scott after the trade was announced

what's wrong with Gasol? The Hornets need another skilled big man along with West, an energy guy who can board and block shots off the bench would be a help too.

I could see them doing this just cause it doesn't make sense, but they think he'll be better than Marks/Bowen/Armstrong/Ely

He was a scrub in college but he has so much potential. He has extremely good feet for a 7 footer.
He just needs to really toughen up. He has a chance to be a very good post for someone. Another year in college is what he needs but he left for the money.
He did nothing at Ohio State so I'm not saying this because he went here, but he has a ton of potential.

Don't follow the NBA really, and don't know what NO's roster looks like or what their plans are, but they better not take him if they're trying to win something within the next 2 years.

I love the armchair know it all geeks that think they know sports your right they are different, it means Thornton will have a much easier time getting to the rack in the nba because of the one on one and most of the time nonexistent defense played in the league.
you like the way Juju gets to the rack so easily, which is the only thing he has been good at his whole career before the NBA.
it is more open, but you forget that it's not some college kid coming over to help at the rim. it's a freak like Howard, or KG or Amare that cut you off when you get to the rim.
there's always at least one 7 footer out there in the NBA if not 2 or 3 sometimes, colleges don't have 7 footers everywhere, and if they do they are not this athletic.

Wow. Stop posting now. Please

so that stops Tony Parker, or CP3 for that matter(much shorter players than Thornton) that these 7 footers are in the lane, and there not really in the lane most of the time like your tryin to argue, they are guarding there man, if you know what you are doing you will either hit the shot or draw a foul.
do you watch nba highlights anyways? 90% of the highlights are people going to the rack and dunkin.

It's just dumb to think that just because you're good at getting to the rim in college means you're going to be good at getting to the rim in the NBA. It's a completely different game.
