you call someone dumb because your too dumb to see that it is much easier to drive to the rack in the nba than it is in college, in college you have zone defenses and people rotating over to help the beaten person, in the nba you have no such thing, you beat your man and chances are you'll finish with a dunk.

so that stops Tony Parker, or CP3 for that matter(much shorter players than Thornton) that these 7 footers are in the lane, and there not really in the lane most of the time like your tryin to argue, they are guarding there man, if you know what you are doing you will either hit the shot or draw a foul.

i don't see any tony parkers or CP3's in the draft, maybe Rubio but we would have to wait and see.

most of those guys going to the rack and dunking are
a) either freakishly athletic and strong
b) have a jump shot to help them get the rack
c) both a and b
d) are quicker than everyone else in the NBA, i.e. Parker and CP3.

[quote]do you watch nba highlights anyways? 90% of the highlights are people going to the rack and dunkin.

man, what a good point, who would of thought that dunks were the most exciting plays in basketball.
i guess 90% of the game is driving to the rack and dunks then.

you explain to me how driving to the goal is easier in the NBA for the average guy, not the Iverson, Parker, CP3's of the world who are not possible to stay in front of for the most part.
there are plenty of quick guys out there, but being able to finish at the rim is not something that is easy for guys that are under 6'3"

1. NBA players >>>>>>>>>>>>>> college players
2. NBA defenses >>>>>>>>>>>>>> college defenses
3. NBA big men >>>>>>>>>>>>>> college big men

this isn't the 80's man, NBA teams can play zone and double. also, acting like it's easy to drive in the NBA because two of the best, quickest PG's in the game can do it is ridiculous

You might get more DWhistle type "star treatment" in the NBA, but that's about all i can think of.

haven't been follwing nba ball on tv like I used to, but Parker's whole game was drivin when he first entered the nba, hadn't developed much of a outside shot like he has now, Iverson has gotten older and doesn't drive as much, but look at Rojon or whatever his name is for Boston, their is a whole lot of others I can't think of, but it is much easier than college ball.

never said it was the 80's, and I never said college defenses were better either or the players, are you smokin some shite? just said it was harder because of the congestion in the middle that zone and all that shite they do in college causes. yeah they can play zone and double as you say in the nba, but they rarely do, get a frickin clue.

I would've thought a PG to eventually replace Fish, but i guess they think Kobe could be a mentor

you didnt' explain anything
you named the few execptions who are the best at getting to the basket in the NBA.

their are two ways to get the the goal in the NBA, be quicker or be stronger and more athletic and you still need to be quick.

look at Juju's scouting report, he can't get to the goal to save his life and that's all he was good at.

Why not Sam Young. He is a good scorer and plays better defense than either Ellington or Thorton.

Koufas was better in college than Mullins, but he has infinite more upside than the walking acne monster.
