let me ask you a question, and I'm tryin to think of a average player to get you off my back, how bout Duhon, would you consider him an exceptional driver?

Duhon? NO

getting to the goal is one thing, finishing at the goal on a consistent basis is another.
Parker Rondo and Paul have FG% above 50%.

I don't think it's a true mock, just picking order alongside player rankings

well Duhon does go to the rim regularly and scores or dishes, check his stats.

Duhon wasn't even in the top 30 for PG in FG%
he has the same FG% as Antonio Daniels.
Nate Robinson is better at getting to the goal and finishing and that's b/c he is so much quicker and can jump and finsih.

your impossible man, Chris Duhon is avg 12 a game and 8 assists a game, so he is either doing one or another scoring on the drive or dishin to someone and your frickin worried about his overall pct. that doesn't come from just driving, he does occasionally shoot from outside and he is a horrible outside shooter, but the whole topic was about how hard is it to get to the goal in the nba, that is what I thought this was about.

you have now changed this conversation from driving in the nba to finishing at the rack and fg pct.

this is his 5th year, first time averaging more than 8 and 5.
he's not great, and he's not bad, but no one would consider Chris Duhon a good finisher at the rim.

and like i said before. getting to the goal is only half the battle.
you see Parker, Paul and Rondo finish over guys that are a foot taller than them, on a regular basis.
Chris Duhon may do this once a game, if that much.

derrick rose is a good example of a young guy out of college, one of the only young guys capable of getting to the goal and finishing. but he still can't finish like Paul and Parker do.

it's a bigger adjustment than you think.
there may have been only 3, 4 maybe 5 tyrus thomas type guys in all of college when he was at LSU. every team has at least a tyrus thomas in the NBA pretty much.

ok one more time I'm getting tired, glad you mentioned Derrick Rose, did you see him drive to the rim at will for Memphis like he does now? and you would be lyin if you said yeah, the original topic was about how hard it is to drive in the nba as opposed to college because of the defenses played, it has nothing IMO to do with athletes, we know the better athletes are in the nba, but now you have like I said taken and changed the conversation from drivin in the nba to finishing at the rack, two different things.

but they will finish more at the goal in the nba because of lack of d, than college and the charging and shite called on them.

it has everything to do with the athletes.
NBA players cover more ground, they are longer, faster, stronger.
it also depends who's on your team.
it's a lot easier to get to the goal if you have guys around you that can hit open shots. now this doesn't matter to guys like Paul and Parker, but i would bet you Rondo would have a much tougher time getting to the goal and finishing if he wasn't playing with 3 HOF.
he probably still could, but he wouldn't have the near the stat line he has now.

he takes 4, 3s a game and hits 1.5. that's like 40% of his total points/game

Duhon averages 2.7 FTA/game

Tony Parker avg 5.0

just because they let guys use their hands in CBB doesn't mean the D is better
