What is wrong with getting something for Chris Paul while you still can? He doesnt want to be in NO, he has more trade value now than in 6 months when he starts trashing the team publicly.

3 weeks ago I said it would be absolutely insane to trade the face of the franchise. But he has already made up his mind. Better to cut bait now than have "The Decision 2" in 2 years

This is not what you said earlier. You said you were done with the Hornets. That's what makes you a bitch of a fan. Anyone can get upset about a player or situation, but you don't bail of your team because of it.

seems there may be more to the story than just Pritchard's lack of willingness to spend on flashy Free Agents....ultimately the owner has the final say and if he wants to buy a player it will happen.

They were much more entertaining without him.

I'd rather see us win more often with Chris Paul than see Collison and Thornton try and come back from 18 down in the second half every night.

I've heard Pritchard's firing was heavily influenced by the bust of picked Oden over Durant. With Oden being hurt and being a poor player for the most part, while Durant has blossomed into an amazing talent in the league so quickly, Allen felt Pritchard had just completely failed his team despite all the other great moves he made.

In the end, I am guessing hat that was just a part of it, but wouldn't surprise me if true.

Clearly you were nowhere near the biggest Hornets fan in the world if you purchased season tickets 2 months ago and the thought that Chris Paul was leaving hadn't occurred to you yet.

He went from my favorite player in the NBA to my 2nd most hated player.

He still plays for us. I'm going to laugh at all the CP3/Hornets threads you appear in down the line.

BTW, I'll take those season tickets off your hands.

There is no Hornets after Chris Paul makes a fool of them in a couple years. Let ne revise my statement that I will stay a fan if they trade Chris Paul for something to stay viable.

Well I am a bitch then, there is no hope for the franchise, and I have been their biggest defender. The franchise needs to go to Seattle to people who deserve it

The Hornets have become more of a joke than the Clippers. And yes, if I was a Clippers fan, I would have bailed a long time ago, because there is 0% chance of success under Donald Sterling.

Its like waiting for your wife to cheat on you. Do you let her do that to you first, or do you kick her to the curb and go bang random skanks?

At least when you throw out your wife, you will be selective and sleep with hot skanks. But if your wife makes a fool of you, you will just end up with fat, ugly, whores.

Oden was easily the first choice that year. I can't think of any team that wouldn't have drafted Oden over Durant except for may Orlando.

That yahoo guy Woj is still tweeting according to someone on HR:

# When Bower ran Hornets, you could be sure of one thing: They would be straight up, honest. Shinn-Weber? A truly gutless, hollow operaton. about 1 hour ago via web

# Empty suit Hornets exec issues statement, blames medical staff for failing Luther Head's physical. Man up, big-timer Hugh. Tell the truth. about 1 hour ago via web

In no way was he easily the 1st choice, particularly given his injury woes. He was drafted in Portland because his position was more of a need that SF/SG. It's plain and simple.

Lots of teams were questioning if he'd be able to stay healthy at all.

Woj doesn't seem to like the Hornets much, either that or he's butt buddies with Bower.

He has a long history of praising Bower, long, long before any of this happened..

Definitely butt buddies

He's mad because Weber wouldn't unlock him and Bower from their contraption.

Probably butt buddies with Bartlestein too. Agents are a big source of information for sports journalists.

Seriously, this is such a minor deal. It only seems bigger because:

The Hornets are such a clusterfrick

and

Woj is all over it because he's butthurt over Bower.

I did appreciate whoever it was from ESPN that took the other side of the Bower argument. The Hornets are such small-fish nationally, IDK why someone as big as Woj is paying so much attention to it. Has ESPN mentioned it more than once? Kind of doubt it.

It's a big deal because it was a dick move by a franchise that already has enough trouble enticing FAs to come here without having to drastically overpay them.

They completely F'ed over Luther Head and could permanently have damaged his career with this stunt.

Even worse, now they are blaming the medical staff. If I was them, I'd straight quit because they just got F'ed over too.

This ownership and management is an embarrassment. This is going to turn into the Charlotte Hornets situation all over again. I am not doubting that one bit.
