If they want to do it on PUBLIC property though, at that point they sacrifice the ability to control every single person there.

I have no right for my sign to be shown on College Gameday. The broadcast itself is private

You're absolutely right. Now what does that say about America right now?

I mean Disney/ESPN did this sort of thing for the week 1 game at Disney World. So I'm not at all shocked.

So if people bring 10,000 signs to gameday, espn should go through all of them to make sure which is ok? Sounds like a waste of time.

There are lot of rules that schools get when gameday comes
They open gameday very early and security checked every sign
Most the times people that get the signs on TV that aren’t approved are because they either snuck a pen in and made it there , or taped it behind an “approved” sign

Wow I didn't know this, must take hours to check all of the signs. I thought anyone could just walk up and watch.

You can, but they check the signs of anyone coming into the roped off area.

What about replacing the "Saban money bags" poster with a picture of Silver, Kerr and Pop, and replace the dollar signs with the Yuan?

Just make a large banner and stand behind the fenced-in sign area, like the Jesus sign people do

No there’s security just like if you were getting into a game
And no it doesn’t take hours
Gameday actually gets there the day before too.

If you do walk into the roped off area that’s on TV, they will check your sign

Most the times it isn’t for political shite, it’s mostly so a sign that says “frick Clemson” or something doesn’t get on TV

Of course people get passed, but once they do they are quickly confiscated

They stopped doing that a few years ago. They have security that is allowed to remove you from the crowd because of your sign.

If they want to intentionally avoid showing my sign, that's fine. What I'm against is the idea that they have a right to confiscate people's signs on public property.

Ok that’s fair. I thought you were arguing that this was some free speech violation. Still a line has to be drawn somewhere. The show would get pulled if Penis Penis Penis Penis signs we’re constantly on the broadcast

Why not just bring some innocuous sign and smuggle a marker in and just write something about Hong Kong on the back of your innocuous sign?

Seems simple enough...

"The Chinese Government banned my other sign"

seems like that would do the trick

Even better idea...how about y’all just start some “Geaux Hong Kong”...”Free Hong Kong” or “USA” chants too!! They can take all the signs they want, but when thousands of people start chanting those...then what are they going to do?
