I don't think I'm freaking out now though I'll admit I was in the OP

I don't think it caused us to lose the game but that's not the point anyways, the point was that the officiating was awful throughout the game and now we got a guy just calling time for the frick of it which is against the rules. This kinda stuff can't be allowed bc it will at some point impact the game

Did you even watch the play? At the 8 second mark the Sox fans began to boo and he finally called time at 12 seconds and then walked 5 feet before the pitcher threw the ball. It was a ridiculous sequence and the Cards were obviously waiting for Nunez to call a timeout.

he was quoted after the game saying " I needed a break", as to why he called it.

I have never been the one to blame an ump, but holy shite that was awful

That's awful an Ump did that; however, what the hell was the pitcher doing waiting so long?

The Ump and the Pitcher were both assholes.

I put most of the blame on the Pitcher. It was ridiculous how much time he was taking in between every pitch. Really an absurd amount of time.

Ok so fine don't disagree

Does that excuse the ump for doing something the rules don't allow him to do?

I still do not know why he called time after watching it again.

Matheny was right in his comment to him.

This wasn't really the point. It was a culmination of the game. The umpire had a horrendous strike zone (which isn't really that rare) but that call was just kind of what finally lit the fuse. The ump was bad. The game will get reviewed and he'll probably get disciplined for it because he was awful. He's not the one that lost them the game, but it's unacceptable for an MLB umpire to do shite like that.

It doesn't, but still doesn't warrant Molina to go crazy either. Situation was handled poorly all the way around. Pitcher just standing there doing nothing, umpire finally tired with his dilly dallying calls a harmless timeout, and then Molina went nuts on him, and then Matheny did the same and got ejected.

It wasn't one play or timeout call that caused this reaction. You could see this coming innings prior. I don't know if the guy is a bad umpire. Maybe he just had a bad game, but he was horrible last night.

We don't need more Joe Wests and Angel Hernandez to do stupid shite to draw attention to themselves.

It wasn't a harmless timeout. My major objection to it (and probably Molina's) is that calling time in the middle of the motion can get a pitcher hurt. He put the pitcher at risk calling time when he did.

That was just the cherry on the shite sundae of a game that umpire had.

You're assuming that pitcher is actually going to throw a pitch some time this fricking century.

So if I drive 90 mph down a highway that he a 55 mph speed limit but I don't wreck does that mean I shouldn't get a speeding ticket Bc I didn't wreck or hurt anyone?

The rule is a rule for a reason and it should be followed in all cases otherwise one day it will effect "frickall"
