Misiorowski

Initially committed to OK State, but switched to LSU. He then went to the MLB Combine and threw fastest 8 pitches at the combine. Brewers drafted him in the 2nd round and more than doubled his slot bonus.

Kurt Warner. University of Northern Iowa. Sat the bench til gis senior year and was named conference MVP that year. Turned out to be a pretty good NFL player.

Jahri Evans, who has a strong chance as a 3x finalist, played at D2 Bloomsburg.

Me and Kurt are from the same city. It was 6 years in between time college to pro... his story is truly incredible. And he is probably one of the nicest guys in not only sports but in the world, he really is who he portrays himself as.

Willie Roaf showed up at Tech as a TE weighing 220#’s. Redshirted and kept adding weight.

Per Wiki…Roaf was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.[2] He graduated from Pine Bluff High School,[3] where he played for the Pine Bluff Zebras high school football and basketball teams. He was lightly recruited out of high school, and even considered pursuing basketball instead of football in college.

Former Denver Broncos WR, Rod Smith, of Missouri Southern State University.

Absolutely a HOF caliber player when considering his full body of work, including the playoffs.

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely he gets in.

John Stallworth, HOF 2002. He was from Tuscaloosa and went to Tuscaloosa Central high school. Granted he would have been at Alabama only a year or two after they integrated, and he went to Alabama A&M, but what a miss.

The NFL almost missed him as well. The only time Stallworth was looked at by scouts was on a rainy day. His 40 time wasn't great and with the rain, catching the ball was tough. Bill Nunn, the Steelers scout hung around an extra day because he didn't like scouting players in the rain and was the only one left from the day before. Once he got the 40 time on a dry day and saw Stallworth catch, he acquired all the game film of him to ensure that it couldn't be released to any other team. Because of that no team had interest and the Steelers took Stallworth in the 4th round.

Greatest draft class ever.

Steve Largent played college football at Tulsa University, where he studied biology. Oilers cut him

At the time of his retirement, he held all major NFL receiving records. Largent was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995.

Then became a Congressman

FYI- his revenge on Mike Harden is brutal
