“All they went through”
They lost a game to a rival. It’s football. He acted like they had an actual tragedy.

Completely understandable he cries when his dog died. This is way too much though, and I like him.

Their adversity was being shite and losing two games
Love that means I faced a METRIC TON OF ADVERSITY in my athletic career

His son is on the team and he’s an alum. He’s not a robot. Like Scott Van Pelt always says “We all come from somewhere”

His son just won the national title at his Alma mater. Pretty sure that alone would make many fathers cry. Different year, his dog passed away clearly things were going on in personal life if he started bringing his dogs with him everywhere he goes. I’m sure this all settling in with his son a national champ triggered him. All these people on here acting like they would not get emotional watching their son do that. Most are on here getting emotional for a team they were never a part of.

Totally agree and nice response.
It’s almost like you’re a human being versus some of the other posters in this thread.
Good lord. People negatively dissect so much minutiae.
Enjoy your life people and promote some positivity throughout your day.
You’ll be much healthier, much happier.

He cried once because black people don’t have it fair in sports…..
We don’t have to pretend his crying is for some noble reason

Man, I used to like Herbie.. He has jumped the shark BIG TIME. Time for him to go in my opinion.

I was also thinking like most people when I saw this live. Like come on Herbie! WTF. Then I heard him this morning talking about it. His son who is on the team had heart failure a couple years ago and almost needed a heart transplant. Day and staff kept his son on team even though he couldn’t play. Then he said that he has kept it private but his wife has been battling cancer this year and of course they lost their family pet. So after going through all that and seeing his son on the field in his jersey celebrating a natty was an emotional experience. Now I understand why he was so emotional after hearing what him and his family has gone through the last few years.
