1. CJ Stroud
2. Hendon Hooker

3. Caleb Williams

Does a split of the Bama/UGA games elevate Hooker above Stroud or does he need to beat them both?

Stroud still has 2 top 10 matchups ahead with Penn State and Michigan as well.

eta: i don't really see anyone else other than these 3 seriously in the discussion.

I wouldn’t count out Bryce Young yet.

But it’s Stroud then everyone else, currently

3?

Drake Maye has been a mostly one man show for UNC. Probably the worst defense among P5 teams and he’s the sole reason they have the 5 wins that they do.

Hooker isn’t even in the race. It’s a player award, not a team award. Dude has only accounted for 13 TDS to date. You still needs stats to win and he doesn’t have them yet.

Strouds to lose imo.

But can't out big numbers in big games down the stretch. So too early to narrow it down at this point.

Why would you have Caleb Williams so far below Hooker? I think it's those 3, but I think they are essentially neck and neck.

Deion’s son gets a pity invite for the warm & fuzzy news headlines

Caleb was mediocre to bad against Oregon St and Wazzu

When he's on he's completely unstoppable, but he's super streaky.

I’d like to see a guy like Hooker get it. Would be a nice change up.

yeah was going to say the same thing. he's had 2 pretty average to below average games in a row when he really should have been dominant imo

Well that's just not true. He's no worse than 4th highest odds everywhere I've looked.

ETA: If they lose to Alabama and Georgia then it's all over for him though.

Bryce Young ain't winning it after sitting out an entire game against a conference opponent.

Will Rogers won't win it but he still has a plate of games left that could get him an invite to NYC.

I’d throw either McCarthy or Corum in from Michigan if they continue to have a great season. Most of their games on Fox means they’ll have a lot of eyeballs on their games

The SWAC is part of FCS. There is already a "Heisman" equivalent in the Walter Payton Award, which the Jax State qb may very well win.

Deion knows this, but he's, again, just using his kid and school as a way to boost himself In the media.

If anything, Travis Dye is the Heisman guy for USC.

quote:

Dye carried the ball 28 times for 149 yards and a touchdown against Washington State. It was a season high for Dye in terms of carries and yards. And he now has four 100-yard games on the ground this year.

He was vitally important when the passing game faltered against Oregon State. He ran for 133 yards and a key touchdown against the Beavers. And Dye was up for carrying the load once again when the passing game faltered a bit against Washington State. He's averaging 6.3 yards per carry.
