Young is right back in the mix with a big game against the Vols, assuming he is cleared to play

Haven’t gone through the thread but Max Dugan for TCU has got to be trending up. Another top 10 matchup coming up this weekend too

You can take Hooker out of the running. Tennessee players are not allowed to win the Heisman. I think it's in the rule book.

Yeah, but it's been 25 years since Tennessee even had a finalist, so maybe the voters will forget.

And not looking great in the Texas game that had millions of eyeballs to start the season.

Bryce Young is the reason we won that game. He took over in the fourth quarter.

If Jalon Daniels didn't get hurt, I would include him

Don’t forget the Bama 12th man who came up big on that drive

e SWAC is part of FCS. There is already a "Heisman" equivalent in the Walter Payton Award, which the Jax State qb may very well win. Deion knows this, but he's, again, just using his kid and school as a way to boost himself In the media.

Didn’t they invite Steve McNair to New York from Alcorn St?

Not saying Deion’s son is like that, but it’s happened before

So a Big 12 officiating crew was in the tank for Alabama - AT Texas?

Hooker isn’t even in the race

He's currently the 2nd odds favorite to win and if Tennessee beats Alabama this weekend he'll be the odds on favorite. His TDs will need to increase though

While as of late it seems the Heisman is reserved for players whose teams are in the Final 4, here’s a couple “dark horses” I think are worth mentioning.

Drake Maye, Fr. QB for 5-1 UNC:
1,903 yards passing, 21 TDs vs 3 INTs in six games, another 3 TDs rushing

Bijan Robinson, Jr. RB for 4-2 Texas:
645 yards rushing, 10 TDs in six games, 1 receiving TD

Have you followed a heisman race lately? Week 1-9 is just about staying within striking distance. The award goes to the player that has the best week 10-13 of those players- that’s what it’s become

Bama has 4 potential top 10 matchups before the award is given.

@Tennessee
Mississippi State
@Ole Miss
SECCG

Gibbs is currently averaging 144 all purpose yards per game on 8.3 yards per carry. If he continues doing that in that tough stretch run and tacks on more TDs, and most importantly Bama wins them all, he’ll be firmly in the conversation.

The only RB that has a shot at winning the Heisman is Gibbs at Alabama. He needs to continue his big games in SEC play. Voters wont give it to Young and Bama will need someone to be their playmaker.

Lighten up Francis. No one wins the Heisman because they had a game winning drive in an other wise meh performance in a game they won by 1 and were favored by 20
