BYU will drop but not much. I think Bama will drop but not much either.

like March Madness giving a 19-14 power conference team a 10 seed because they have a high NET rating due to "good losses".

Does March Madness not do that?

The football playoff is shorter. Let’s define “run” as winning a game. Yes, every team in the playoff can do so for one game

Idk what it's going to shape out to be. But I'd rather a 2-loss Vandy, Miami, or Notre Dame over 3-loss Bama.

Should they be penalized for losing a meaningless conference title game while others sat at home?

Hell, that happened to both Auburn and Wisconsin in 2017

Always the bitches in the rear hoping someone asks them to the dance. Still happens in basketball with 64 teams

Maybe so. But as an unbiased fan, would rather watch Bama play vs these #11 & #12 seeds. Tulane, JMU, Va in playoffs?? Come on

Or a very topical one of Alabama not having to play conference championship game and still going to the national championship for a rematch against LSU

This is exactly why early season H2H should be one of the lowest considerations. No one can look at Alabama today, and honestly since the Tennessee game on October 18 and say “this is a top 10 team.”

Just the fact that there is any semblance of a debate over a 3 loss team just says there are way too many teams in the playoff. The debate is insincere and only for ratings, which makes it even more ridiculous.

Ya gotta trust the Eye-Test Metric, and Three-Loss Bama almost always passes the Eye-Test.

Gumps are IN.
