Force Tech to hire them back?

But the talent is only getting worse. And the offense is deteriorating.
Our offense was fine the last game of the season against UGA. As far as talent goes I agree with you but as someone else said there is the stats to back up that our recruiting rank average has stayed the same since PJ started coaching.

Oh and easy wins in 09,10 my arse. You still lost with your best team in 09 to our 2nd shittiest richt team, no AJ, and our awful RBs went ham. And 2010 you still lost. No almost anything. You simply lost. 2008 was closer to being a dawg W than those going for Tech but hey y'all had to get a dub in to keep it interesting.
All 3 games were tied/within a touchdown with 5 mins left in each game. Could have gone either way in all 3.

Cooperate during an investigation and the penalties get less harsh

I just don't see tech getting tje backs they would want to make a run at winning big. Tech has enough obstacles and that offense isn't helping. You're right about that defense being the Achilles heal and I'm sure Groh can fix it because it couldn't be much worse but I just can't see CPJ winning without Chans guys.
Oh, and yalls offense last game did well bit that isn't that good an indicator because our defense was thoroughly out coached. Grantham was pitiful. That's why I'm not high on him like other dawgs. I see that game and then I see air force, Iowa, and UGA in 2009 and just dunno of it will work

Our offense is weird in that it takes a certain style back for each position as well as a certain style o-line. I dont think we necessarily have to get stud typical running backs to be successful. Our offense relies much more on having a mobile qb who can both pass and run. We have to be able to stretch the field while keeping the defense's secondary off the line. They have to respect the pass or else we are screwed (see: LSU, 09 UGA, Iowa, Air force).
I dont think we fully know the potential of a PJ coached team bc he has always missed pieces. Under his coaching, we have never had a good defense or special teams and other than Bay Bay (who was far from reliable) our WRs have been dreadful.
That being said, it is his job to bring those pieces in. I genuinely think our offense will be fine next year in the QB/RB positions. The big question marks are wide receivers, defense and special teams and right now I think those look pretty bleak.

CPJ has a good offensive mind and knows how to make adjustments.

Listening to the press conference, a reporter asked if it affected the severance package with Hewitt and our AD said it doesnt.
NOOOOOO.
Also our AD said that he doesnt think anything they did affected the NCAAs inquiry.
ETA NCAA declared Bay bay and M Burnett didnt receive gifts.
ETA from everything I gather, the NCAA spent over a year investigating GT and the only thing they found was about $300 worth of clothes being given to players. So basically they were like frick we just wasted a year, lets say there administration didnt help us and take the acc title away

It was BayBay that was given the clothes I believe, and they are saying his cousin gave them to him so it's not a violation.
Yeah, it sounds fricking ridiculous.

From CPJ:
On if he was surprised when he learned that Demaryius Thomas and Morgan Burnett could play late in November:
“I wasn’t aware of what was happening because I wasn’t involved in the process. I knew they had been interviewed when the NCAA came in. I had no idea what was said in the interviews or what was going on. We found out that Wednesday or Thursday that they were eligible to play. As far as we were concerned, we just went with the attitude that until somebody told us differently they were playing. Dan came in on Wednesday afternoon and said they are both cleared.”
On the results of the punishment:
“I think our guys are frustrated. I understand why our administration did what they did. It’s frustrating when you aren’t directly involved in something and it effects you in such a big way. I was proud of the way that 2009 team played on the field and for the majority of those guys to have an asterisk beside that effort, and the assistant coaches, it makes it tough. It is what it is. Life isn’t fair. You learn from things.”
On when he learned of the seriousness of the investigation:
“I didn’t really know until the hearing in April. I thought at that time ‘These guys are out for blood.’ That’s the time I realized the seriousness. I still had no idea it would be as serious as it was. This is 32 years of coahcing and I’ve never been involved in one of these.”
On what he told the team today:
“I told them that sometimes things that happen aren’t fair. The neat thing is doesn’t affect our football team moving forward: No postseason ban, no scholarship limitations, no loss of anything that way so it doesn’t affect the guys that are here. It’s disappointing that the guys that played so hard in that game doesn’t get to see the fruits of their labor. But you use it as a learning experience. It’s a valuable lesson that we talk about a lot: What you do and how you represent yourself carries over to everybody in that room and everyone on that coaching staff. You are representing a school and a coaching staff.”
On if this affects his desire to remain at Tech:
“No, not at all. As I said, I understand why our administration did what they did given the information they have. I have a lot of respect for Dan and Dr. Peterson. They made decisions based upon what was available to them at the time. I’m not going to second-guess them now.”

USC didn't cooperate with the NCAA and they flaunt breaking the rules. The NCAA dragged its arse on punishing them.
Since the NCAA was forced to punish USC, they've gone after other schools for rather small infractions, but harsher penalties for the actual crime.
Notice that part of the punishment was GT didn't cooperate with the NCAA as the NCAA would have liked. What the hell does that mean?
If that is the standard, why then wasn't SC put on probation years ago?
The NCAA is corrupt.

Yeah, it's coming from a UGA fan with a sense of humor.
I actually thought they are being way too harsh with this... had no clue until earlier today any of this had been going on and it isn't that major at all. Next time don't take my comments so seriously.
