GSP sounds worried about B. Askren v. Paul: "He only worked with Freddie Roach for a week"

GSP was recently on with Rogan and the Askren vs Jake Paul fight came up.
GSP started telling Joe that he spoke to Freddie Roach (GSP's boxing coach as well) and said he worked with Ben a little bit but he left after one week.
GSP, who knows a couple things, the goes to wonder how committed Ben Alfen really is and said he was pretty worried about him getting hurt of KO'd by a guy who can actually box and has power.
The best exchange of the whole segment was when Rogan said Askren has been looking decent on the pads.
GSP responds: "Yeah, but everryonnne is chammpion on the pad, Joe."

He was going to lose the second he took this fight. Paul is a massive douche but he’s not some random YouTube guy that doesn’t know how to box

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if Paul is paying askren to take a dive. You can’t take anything at face value with guys that make tons of money being content creators.
He has way more to gain with a win here. He can spew bs and call out mma fighters saying he beat a former champion and pick up more little kid subscribers that think he is a legit badass.

Exactly.
I had no idea about how big Askren's payday is going to be. He said himself it will be his biggest by far of his career. That's his motivation.
All these MMA commentators liek Chael saying that Ben is a "competitor" and won't lose because he's seasoned ar skidding themselves if they watch even 10 seconds of training footage. I dislike Paul immensely, but that dude can really box his arse off.

Askren has never cared about his boxing skills and you can't learn that shite in such a short time. I don't see Askren getting KO'd but he'll lose he's just doing this for the payday.

Askren's taking the fall and the pay day.
Paul is the superstar they're trying to build, that's all this bullshite is about.
Askren's value in the entertainment space is nil, he was the sucker that had nothing left in MMA and could be the MMA champ that Paul took out and boost the rep and brand value.

Dude couldn’t compete against amateurs in the boxing ranks. But neither can Askren. Both absolutely suck at boxing.

Yeah, as evidenced by his professional victories over...some other YouTube guy and a retired NBA player who had never boxed before. If he ever got in the ring with an actual professional boxer, he’d get his arse handed to him.

Ben will win the fight. It wont he pretty. He will clinch ALOT and Jake Paul will wear down much faster than Askren. Askren will finish him late in the fight.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I think it would be hilarious if Jake Paul ran across the ring at the opening bell and knocked out Askren with a flying knee in the first 5 seconds.

I don't know how much he has changed but I played in a disc golf tournament about 10 years ago and he was on my card. During our round, he was about as nice a guy as one could ever meet. He is one of those pure athletes had he not chosen to focus on combat sports he could easily have been a touring pro.
