Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden, who has served as an ESPN analyst on "Monday Night Football'' since his dismissal after the 2008 season, is strongly hinting he plans a return to the NFL sidelines.
Keep dreaming, and keep Derek!

So he's been lying the whole time.

Deuce Gruden? What a fricking douche bag.

So does this mean that Dooley has to win 9 to be safe now???

He reminds me of Lane Kiffin very egocentric, the type of guy that would come into a mediocre program and use them as a stepping stone to a much better job just like Lane did.

Agreed. I've never understood why every school with a vacancy wants Gruden. I've never seen anything from him to indicate he'd be a home-run college HC hire.

If Gruden is actually willing to coach college football, Dooley is fricked.

He has a little better than .500 coaching record. Why would anyone fear that?

I would love to see Gruden in the SEC

just what has Gruden accomplished in college to make you think this?

I think Gruden would be an excellent recruiter....just depends if he likes the recruiting aspect of it.
Would love him in the SEC.

over .500 in 10 years as a NFL head coach, no way he could step up to the SEC.

and he has a super bowl ring. don't worry he's not going to MSU anyways.
Lane Kiffin at NFL 5-15 (.250)
Nick Saban 15-17 (.469)

It makes me feel better that other fanbases also have pie in the sky wishes for their coaches too.
