Greg McElroy: "Selfish teammates (Jets) didn't care if we won or lost"

How long until Bart Scott kicks his arse?

“It’s definitely not a fun place to be, I can assure you,” McElroy said of the Jets’ locker room. “It’s the first time I’ve ever been around extremely selfish individuals. And I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our locker room that didn’t care whether we won or lost as long as they got theirs, they had a good game individually. And that’s the disappointing thing.”

McElroy held that clipboard like a champ every weekend. He always brought his A game

Why would you say this knowing they have access to these comments?
Seems like a fast and easy way to get a swirly by....

Dude has a big mouth and is a punk bitch IMO. When Bama scored a TD to go up 21-0 over AU and he flipped off the Auburn fans before going to the sideline that pretty much made it obvious. Seriously, who does that? How many times do you see a player in his own stadium make a point of flipping off visiting fans while he is still on the field in the middle of a game?

No, Holmes is too busy getting called out by the worst starter on the team, RT Wayne "The Open Door" Hunter.
As for the OP, he's not wrong. I was under the impression most pro locker rooms are like that anyway, and he was the rookie that found out firsthand that it wasn't so "Ra Ra" like college.
Team unity falls to the wayside for personal statistics and straight cash homey a lot of the time...

Team business is team business, it stays in the locker room. And you certainly don't go airing it out to a reporter. It would be bad if Tom Brady did it, so it's even worse when your practice squad QB does it.

I just don't see this ending well for McElroy. He should really keep his mouth shut when you have some pretty big boys in your lockerroom

He has a weekly spot on 2 radio stations, I expect nothing less from him.
And just because I agree with his view, doesn't mean I think he should have said something publicly...

Who lights up cigars on an away teams field after a win on the road?

ESPN had a player X article about this a year ago or so. Player talked about how people would be shocked to find out how many players are there for the paycheck.

It already been talked about on Jets sites that he could lose his job for something like that.
It's not like he's an asset to the team right now...

See: the difference in production prior to and after a big contract extension.

The entire Jet team is taking turns calling Santonio Holmes out, ginger is just fitting in with the crowd.
