re: Greg McElroy: "Selfish teammates (Jets) didn't care if we won or lost"

Secondly, McElroy is already rich. Like, private jet rich. Not like he stands to miss out on anything.
Are you another delusional gump or did he make that fricking much while at Bama?

I think people forget two things: McElroy already has a degree with honors. He was working on a masters before going to the Jets. He could probably find a job making more than he is now
For as smart as he supposedly is, he still doesn't seem to know when to keep his mouth shut.
A rookie third string qb, should never be interviewed in the first place, much less make those kinds of comments

I just don't see this ending well for McElroy. He should really keep his mouth shut when you have some pretty big boys in your lockerroom
Well to be fair...his head coach doesn't set the best example when it comes to knowing when to stop talking.

Leaders don't pull passive-aggresive bullshite like that.

Yep, nothing like a priviledged, entitled child attacking others for being priviledged, entitled children.

And you think this makes you "private jet rich"?

Well to be honest, I have only heard of private helicopters. The jets are just an assumption.

I think the Jets players should do this to him:

He'd make a good starter (not Drew Brees or Tom Brady good, but Matt Ryan, or Eli Manning, or you know, an above average QB. Probably one of the more accurate passer in the league.) for the Jets, but I wouldn't blame him if he tried to find a team that still cares about football.
Is that why he was drafted in the first round like Ryan and Manning? Just another delusional Gump. Ginger will be lucky to be in the league five years from now, especially if he can't learn to keep his mouth shut.

If GM is in the league five years from now, it'll be because of his ability (or inability) to throw the football...not because of what he says to the media.

Not if he keeps selling out his teammates. It's hard to play QB in the NFL if you don't have the trust of your fellow players.

No different any employer anywhere. I'm on the job and posting here for God's sake!
That said, even if what GM said is true, and it probably is, I can't see it ending well.

He flew into Tuscaloosa from home after the Christmas holidays of 2010 in a private jet. I think that about answers your question.

Gee Greg, might it not be "selfish" to spout your self-righteous BS at the expense of your teammates?
Posted on 1/5/12 at 10:52 am to TigerJeff
How is it at the expense of his teammates? What he said was true, and it is something that more than a few jets players have already said since their last game. You people are bleeding vaginas if you have a problem with what he said.

what i am wondering is what the uproar is about outside of him breaking some antiquated locker room "code" ... he didn't name names .. and if anyone watched the jets play even once this season you could clearly see the disconnect on that team ..

Not a smart move by McElroy
What happens in locker room stays in locker room.
Wait until preseason next year, you think a lineman might get miss a block

Everyone already knew what was going on in their locker room, he just confirmed it, like plenty of other Jets players have already done.
