green bay should win. they're probably a better team right now plus teams really seem to play well in that first thursday night game at home after winning the super bowl.

THis. But I just can't go against the Saints for Pick-em.

There's really no favorite this year. Packers, saints, falcons, bucs, bears, and eagles all have a realistic shot to win the conference IMO. AFC is stout as well, lots of capable teams this season.

If the saints can run the ball effectively they will win.

I have to say if I had to pick one QB to head into enemy territory and get fired up before a game to take down the champs.. I'd take Drew Brees. I think we see some rust on both of these teams thanks in part to the lockout, so while both are high octane, I see more of a ball control type game. Both teams have questionable running games and the defenses are both solid. I don't see the offenses naming their score tonight. I think the revamped NO defense plays a big part and keeps Rodgers and the offense limited in their big play opportunities.

GB may very well win with all the emotion following the Super Bowl and being at home, but 0% chance it's by 18 points

The Packers may be the defending Super Bowl champs, but they are not better than the Saints. Hell, the Saints had a better record than the Packers last year. Green Bay just got hot at the right time.

Great analysis

I think GB will win by a couple TDs. Everyone is picking this game to be close, I have a feeling one team is going to get absolutely worked tonight. I'm picking GB based on home field/who the saints are missing/thats just what I think.

Might as well post over here. Green Bay is taking it to us. Hats off to them, I don't mind criticism from other fans but some of our fans over on Saints Talk suck right now.

At least this isn't college football, in the NFL one loss you shrug it off and cya next Sunday. In college one less = title hopes almost dead = sick for weeks

Exactly. Aaron Rodgers is making some throws out there that are just perfect but some idiots over on ST will just tell you that our DB's suck.
