Those 2 tackles have to be the worse combo of starting tackles in the league, or close to it. Goodwin > Kreutz too.

Bushrod is the exact same guy that started last year. Stinchcomb was hurt all of last year and Streif had a good preseason. I definitely don't consider Goodwin to be better than Kreutz.

the packers were 1 desean jackson return td from even making the playoffs last season.

pretty crazy how the giants had the most epic collapse against philly.

bag on eli all you want...he was a monster in the NFC title game that year in horrible conditions

yeah Eli is nowhere near as good as Arod, but the Packers were not some dominant force last year. They struggled to win 10 games...

the 09 Saints blew motherfrickers out and had one of the highest point differentials of any SB team ever...they did this while having more players on IR than any other team. The Colts that year won 14 games and could have easily won 16 despite a buttload of injuries.

I hate how the Packers are all of a sudden the first team to win a SB with alot of injuries...it' just not true.

bingo...frick, the saints dropped their last 3 games and still had the #1 seed in 09. Can't compare a dominant and memorable SB champion to a very good and unmemorable one

saints,rams, pats - dominant champs

forgettable HOT teams - giants, 10 packers,

Vikings fan opinion:

Packers win tonight, both teams win their division, and the Saints win the #1 overall seed and the NFC.

also why is it that everyone was picking green bay to go to the super bowl before the playoffs started? obviously someone knew something, or i guess you just knew they would be hot...nobody cares about what happened during the season. the POINT is to win the super bowl. the packers simply made it harder on themselves than the saints did...

GB is not the first team to do this

This meme is so fricking dumb. Who were they missing that they didn't let go this offseason? Finley and Grant?

The Saints had a ton of players on IR in 09 and were playing with CBs off the street for a few games.

They were playing with a TON of injuries last year, including starting their 7th string RB, and they still won 11 games.

GB got hot at the right time but they aren't some unstoppable juggernaught.

They may whip the Saints' asses, but I think the Saints end up having the better record at the end of the year.

Because their first team looked unstoppable in preseason last year, and everyone abandoned that pick midway through the season. Yeah, they looked really great in preseason...they looked pretty GOOD in regular season

what the frick does this even mean?

...

nobody cares about what happened during the season.

obviously they do, the pack lost a lot of players during the regular season...someone cares or we wouldn't keep hearing this narrative of the Packers overcoming insurmountable odds to become champions

no shite sherlock, but stop acting like they are such a dominant team, they are going to steam roll people, etc...they won 10 fricking games last year and then got really hot.

quote:

the packers simply made it harder on themselves than the saints did...

this is the most retarded thing. They made it harder on themselves by not being as good as the saints...the Saints had more player on IR than any team in 09...it's like this point doesn't even resonate with you...they dealt with the same crap and won more games in a more dominant fashion and won the super bowl

Saints go into halftime up 21-10 after Sed Ellis hurts Rodgers in the 2nd quarter.

Brees leads a nice touchdown drive to open the 3rd quarter, Saints up 28-10.

Matt Flynn comes in and leads a miraculous comeback, and Packers win 42-38.

Green Bay is a good team.

But I keep hearing about them like they are a combination of the 85 Bears and 99 Rams.

I just hope the Saints can score a field goal and hold them to less than 80 points. That would be a moral victory.

I think GB will win by a couple TDs. Everyone is picking this game to be close, I have a feeling one team is going to get absolutely worked tonight. I'm picking GB based on home field/who the saints are missing/thats just what I think.

Wouldnt be surprised in the least bit if it was the Saints who win by a couple TDs tho.

The Saints oline also is weaker than it was last year.

I think the Pack win a close one tonight but this is just retarded. Kreutz is an upgrade at C, and not having an injured stinchcomb at RT is a huge upgrade. Strief has played well.

Ingram is going to run for 200+ yards and score 3 touchdowns in a 35-24 victory over the Packers.

green bay should win. they're probably a better team right now plus teams really seem to play well in that first thursday night game at home after winning the super bowl.
