Any New Additions to this list?
This years Uhigh team likely isnt close to being the best team, but I would say it has the most impressive resume of all time

They were undefeated and division II state champs

They also defeated 5A state champs Zachary 27-7

THey defeated Division I state champs Catholic 34-6

They defeated 3a state champs West Feleciana 18-0

They beat De La salle 45-19, who defeated 4a state champ Karr

Debatable. 2000 West Monroe beat:

Midland Lee with Cedric Benson and Eric Winston 36-8. They won their 3rd straight Texas 5A State Championship that year.

5A Mississippi State Champion Moss Point. 28-23

4A Runner Up John Curtis. 25-7

4A Mississippi Runner Up Clarksdale. 35-7

Part of the reason schools like Curtis and Evangel were forced back down to smaller classes.

Can you imagine small AA/AAA schools trying to compete with Curtis for decades? Evangel in A/ AAA?

That Midland Lee team would've beaten every team you listed, including U-High.

Disagree

Midland early that year had alot of injuries and played like donkey dick. Hell, they lost to Odessa the following week

WM vs Midland Lee

Actually found the entire game on YouTube. It’s not exactly in HD.

West Monroe had the rebels come out and then refused the game in Midland. About as yellow as you can get?

Shook his hand at midfield and told him he wasn’t riding a bus 13 hours is the way the story goes. I remember something about possibly flying out there and whatnot. For whatever reason, WM did not return the trip to Midland.

You'll hear a lot of people throw out steroids and hold backs. I would guarantee you that steroids have never been any more of a problem at WM than any other school its size. And as far as hold backs go, I'd put the average age of their team up against any of the perennial contenders. I held back but was still only 18 when I graduated. The rumors of WM being filled with 19 year olds playing ball is greatly exaggerated.

wasn't there a news star article a few years back that stated 85% hold backs?
